The enrolment of First-year NCC cadets is done on September 01, 2023, at the Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan. The staff of 1 HP Boys Battalion NCC Solan along with CTO, Dr. Amit Kumar Jakhar, and PI Jai Lal Thakur conducted a selection process for the new enrolled students. Fresh enrollment of NCC cadets is an important process that helps in nurturing disciplined and responsible young citizens who contribute to the nation’s development and security. One should Join NCC to inculcate the following traits: Develop leadership skills, Foster discipline and teamwork, Engage in community service, Gain valuable life skills, Contribute to national security.
The enrollment commenced at 0930 hours, and the cadets initially lined up. The Platoon Leader then organized us into groups of six students each, resulting in a total of five groups. Each group was instructed to complete four laps around the basketball court (BBC).
After the running exercise, cadets were directed to perform push-ups. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as cadets did push-ups while the selection panel observed.
The Platoon Leader addressed us, providing insights into the NCC and its functioning, delivering an inspiring speech. Following this, the final list of the selected cadets is prepared and submitted to the staff of the NCC unit. Finally, the event was concluded with a brief note about the NCC, its process and the potential benefits.
Youngester should come forward to serve the country by actively participating in the activities for community welfare.
