Tender process for 21 thousand trees identified in Hamirpur Forest Division will begin.

Vice President of Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation, Kehar Singh Khachi has said that due to the terrible disaster that hit the state this monsoon season, there has been huge loss of forests and forest land. The Forest Corporation has started the process by working with promptness to remove the trees fallen due to the disaster as soon as possible. While talking to journalists at the rest house of Nadaun on Saturday, Kehar Singh Khachi said that in Hamirpur forest division also, the forest department has marked about 21 thousand trees and handed them over to the corporation. The corporation is starting the tender process to lift these.
Khachi told that he is personally taking stock of the situation by visiting Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Kangra divisions of the corporation for three days. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has identified three important areas as water, forest and tourism to make Himachal self-reliant. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Forest Corporation is working diligently towards the proper utilization of dry and fallen trees in the forests and its positive results have started emerging within a few months. Khachi said that during this period, an encouraging growth has been recorded in the net profit of the corporation and in the coming times, rapid work is being done towards developing it as a big profitable enterprise. In just about 8 months the corporation has earned a net profit of crores. During this period, there has been a good increase in the income of Bilaspur’s Biroja Factory and various divisions of the corporation.
He said that after the decision of the Supreme Court, necessary process has also been started to start cutting of wells in the lower areas of the state. Marking of trees has also been done at many places. This will increase the revenue of the state and the people of these areas will benefit.
Discussing the circumstances arising out of the disaster in the state, Kehar Singh Khachi said that even the elders of the state had not seen such a terrible tragedy in their lifetime. He said that the way Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has provided strong and sensitive leadership to the state in this hour of disaster, it is being highly appreciated not only in Himachal but also across the country. Despite limited resources, the Chief Minister himself visited every district to take stock of the damage and made every effort to share the pain and suffering of the affected people. He said that the Chief Minister has set an example by donating his entire life’s wealth to the disaster relief fund.
Khachi said that due to the blockage of roads in the upper areas due to heavy rains in July, it seemed that this time the apples of the gardeners would not be able to reach the market, but the state government showed promptness and got all the roads restored in record time and all the The apples of the orchards were delivered to the markets. He said that Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has started many such schemes for every section of the state, which everyone is appreciating. In particular, by giving the status of Children of the State to destitute children, the Chief Minister has set an exemplary example for the entire country.
