In the preliminary investigation of the Vigilance Bureau, it has been found that the statements of the suspended engineers, contractors, and people of the Jal Shakti Department are not matching. The work has not been done as per the terms of the tender issued by the Jal Shakti Department.
According to the terms, clean water was to be supplied from near Lelu Bridge in Theog, but investigation has revealed that the contractor did not fill water in tankers and pickups from this place. The drivers of tankers and pickups filled drains with water and made people drink it.
There are allegations that the contractors have prepared the bills in connivance with the employees in the office of the Jal Shakti Department. The negligence of the suspended engineers and clerks has come to light in this. The executive engineer forwarded the bills prepared by the junior engineers without checking them. This questioning has been done with SDM Theog, suspended engineers, tanker drivers, and contractors. The Vigilance Bureau had also submitted a preliminary investigation report to the government. The Home Department has also taken legal opinion in this matter.
