A case of molestation of a girl in a moving bus has come to light in the capital. It is alleged that a man touched the girl inappropriately in a moving bus and followed her after she got off the bus. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
The victim has lodged a complaint of molestation at Baluganj police station. In the complaint, the victim said that she is originally from Hamirpur and these days lives in Shimla. Last Saturday, around 4 o’clock, she was traveling in a private Bus during this time, when the bus reached near the railway station, an unknown person touched her inappropriately inside the bus, due to which she got scared and feeling unsafe, she got off the bus, but due to the jam, the bus got stuck in the middle of the road. The accused also got down from the bus after him and started chasing him. Gathering courage, he asked for help from the police constable. The policeman stopped the person chasing him there and informed the police. As soon as the information was received, the team of Baluganj police station reached the spot and detained the person.
According to the information received from the police, the age of the accused person is around 65 and is a retired employee. Based on the complaint of the girl, the police have registered a case against the accused person and started investigation. SP Shimla said, ‘A case has been registered on the basis of the girl’s complaint. The accused is being detained and interrogated.
