The much-anticipated Golden Rudraksh Awards 2025 concluded on Tuesday with recognition of outstanding contributions across leadership, faculty, and non-teaching staff at Shoolini University.
The executive review committee, comprising Mrs. Saroj Khosla (Chairperson), Mr. M.D. Sharma, Prof. Indu Rihani, and Prof. M.S. Thakur, oversaw the voting, while the Learning Team, under the supervision of Dr. Ashoo Khosla and Dr. Kamal Kant Vashisth, facilitated the process. The voting was conducted in a structured manner, with Deans, Heads of Schools (HoS), faculty and staff voted in person at the CC Lab (Computer Centre) in E Block.
The top 10 staff members included Balbir Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Prem Bhatti, Koshliya Devi, Hemant Sharma, Alice, Nancy Chandel, Anshul, Harsha Thakur, and Ishwar Dass. Among them, Anshul emerged as the Winner, with Neelam Thakur securing the 1st Runner-up position and Ishwar Dass as the 2nd Runner-up.
The e-Learning team (IT and Sprint Team) was declared the winner in the Best Central Support Team category. The Library team claimed the 1st Runner-up position, while the DSW team secured the 2nd Runner-up position.
In the Student’s Choice Award category, Raghav and Sanchit were honoured as the Best Teachers, while Dr. Vinay Negi was recognised as the Most Popular Teacher.
The Top Ten Faculty Members category included Azhar Khan, Ekta Singh, Nitika Thakur, Brij Bhushan Sharma, Nisha Kapoor, Namita Gandotra, and Chander Mohan Gupta. The top three finalists were Indu Negi, Vinay Negi, and Sourav Gupta, with Dr. Vinay Negi securing the winning title, followed by Indu Negi as the 1st Runner-up and Gaurav Gupta as the 2nd Runner-up.
In the Dean/Director Category, the Top Ten nominees featured Nandan Sharma, Dinesh Kumar, Amar Raj Singh, Narinder Verma, and Kesari, while the Top Five Finalists included Neeraj Gandotra, Purnima Bali, Pankaj Vaidya, Pooja Verma, and Somesh Sharma. Somesh Sharma was declared the winner with Pooja Verma as the 1st Runner-up and Pankaj Vaidya as the 2nd Runner-up.
Additionally, Sunita was honoured as the Guardian of Rudraksh, while the Organising team included Nishant, Manish, Vikas, and Chandan and the Mentors of Rudraksh were Indu Rihani, Mohan Das Sharma, M.S. Thakur, and Kamal Kant were also fecilitated
Dr. Ashoo Khosla, Chief Learning Officer, Shoolini University and organiser, Golden Rudraksh Awards said, this recognition is not just about honouring individuals but about fostering a culture of continuous growth and motivation. “Through a transparent 360-degree voting process, we ensure that every contribution is valued and appreciated”, she added.
Prof. Kamal Kant Vashisth said the Golden Rudraksha Awards were institutionalised to share Dr Abdul Kalam‘s blessings with the deserving University employees- blessings in the form of Rudraksha beads from of tree planted by him in the library premises. Started in the year 2018, these awards recognise the unsung heroes of the University who go about doing their jobs quietly and diligently.
Mr. Manish Gashiv, Learning Management System Manager at Shoolini University, emphasised the importance of a systematic and transparent feedback mechanism in determining the award winners.
