Light snowfall and rain were witnessed in the high and medium mountainous regions of Himachal Pradesh on Monday. At the same time, clouds remained in the lower regions of the state, due to which a drop in temperature was recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain clear from Tuesday. Dense fog will prevail at different places in the lower hilly areas on January 7 and 8, which may cause trouble to the people.
The Meteorological Department has predicted clear weather from January 7 to January 10. During this time, sunshine will remain at most places in the state. However, due to fog in the lower hilly areas of the state, the sun will come out late, due to which people may have to face a severe cold.
The Meteorological Department has predicted the western disturbance to become active once again from January 10, due to which the weather will change once again from January 11. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in the state on January 11.
Keylong was the coldest.
On January 6, Keylong, the district headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti, was the coldest. The minimum temperature here was recorded at -2.5 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, Sundarnagar was the hottest in the state. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature in Sundarnagar was recorded at 5.1 degrees. On January 6, there was dense fog in Bilaspur. Apart from this, there was light fog in Sundarnagar and Mandi as well.
