Himachal Pradesh government on Monday issued orders regarding transfer and new posting of IPS and HPPS officers. Two IPS officers and four HPS officers have been shifted. Separate notifications have been issued by the Chief Secretary in this regard.
Transfer of IPS officers…. Among IPS officers, DIG Cyber Crime (CID) Mohit Chawla has been posted as Principal, Police Training College (PTC) Daroh, District Kangra. IPS Soumya Sambasivan, who was handling this responsibility, has been relieved. IPS Omapati Jamwal has been promoted and posted as DIG (Welfare and Administration) at Police Headquarters, Shimla. This posting has been given to him against the post of Inspector General (Welfare and Administration).

Transfer of Arvind Choudhary cancelled… The state government has canceled the transfer order of IPS Arvind Choudhary related to Police Training College, Daroh.
Transfer of HPPS officers…. Among Himachal Pradesh Police Service (HPPS) officers, Virendra Kalia has been transferred from the post of Leave Reserve SP at Police Headquarters, Shimla and posted as Leave Reserve SP at State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Shimla. Similarly, Naresh Kumar has been transferred from the post of Leave Reserve SP at Police Headquarters, Shimla and posted as SP, State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau Southern Range, Shimla. IPS Anjum Ara has been relieved from this post.
HPS Raman Sharma, who was waiting for posting at Police Headquarters, Shimla, has been posted as SP in Intelligence and Security Department, Dharamshala, District Kangra. Similarly, Khazana Ram, who was waiting for posting, has been posted as DSP in 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi District Hamirpur.
