Education Minister inaugurated Nandpur Panchayat Bhawan and Community Bhawan.
Education Minister Rohit Thakur was present today in Nandpur Panchayat of Jubbal sub-division where he inaugurated the Panchayat Bhawan constructed at a cost of Rs 33 lakh and the community building constructed at a cost of Rs 22 lakh in Badiyar under Nandpur Panchayat.
On this occasion, he congratulated the residents of Nandpur Panchayat and expressed hope that the construction of these two buildings would provide convenience to the general public and facilitate the Panchayat representatives in carrying out their work. He informed that a proposal for funding of Rs. 7.5 crore for the Malog Pansari Badiyar road under Nandpur Panchayat would be sent to NABARD for approval and its construction would begin soon.
Rohit Thakur, while addressing the people who came to the program, said that currently comprehensive and multi-dimensional development works are being carried out in Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai, under which basic facilities like education, roads, health, drinking water, electricity, horticulture and building construction are being continuously improved and developed. While on the one hand, maximum roads are being constructed to ensure connectivity facilities in the hilly region and to transport horticultural products to the market, on the other hand, better facilities are being provided to the people in educational and health institutions.
A teacher training institute is being built in Dakaid village at a cost of Rs 17 crore.
With the aim of providing quality education to every child in the state, the present government has filled thousands of teacher posts so that children can get quality education at their doorstep. He informed that approval has been received to open two new Kendriya Vidyalayas in Himachal Pradesh, one of which will be opened in Kotkhai under his own assembly constituency, which is a big achievement. Apart from this, a teacher training institute is going to be built in Dakaid village of Jubbal at a cost of Rs 17 crore, which will be a big and important institute of this region.
Lift drinking water scheme is being constructed at a cost of Rs 38 crore, Rs 55 crore is being spent on electricity system.
Rohit Thakur stated that drinking water is a basic necessity, and changing weather conditions could pose a serious challenge. In light of this, a major water supply scheme is currently underway from the Pabbar River, costing ₹38 crore and expected to be completed by the end of this financial year. Additionally, the Electricity Department is working to improve and strengthen the power system within the Jubbal Division with a cost of ₹55 crore.
