The NSS unit at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Solan, hosted an enlightening webinar titled “Food-Planet-Health: Impact of Diet on the Planet, Animals, and Our Health,” featuring keynote speaker Nija Dhillon, Coordinator at Vegan Outreach and an educator from Vadodara. Dhillon explored vital issues, including the connections between health, dietary choices, and environmental sustainability, and highlighted the harmful effects of meat and dairy consumption on animal welfare and the Earth. Dr. Nishant Jain, the NSS Program Coordinator at JUIT, emphasized the urgent need to adopt veganism as a crucial step in addressing global warming and fostering healthier eating habits among the more than 100 participants, including students, staff, and volunteers, who engaged in the informative session.
