A case of forced rape of a minor schoolgirl studying in class 11th in a government school in the district and pressurizing her for religious conversion has come to light. In this regard, the victim student has lodged her complaint at Una women’s police station and pleaded for justice. Based on the complaint of the victim student, the police have registered a case against the accused and started further action regarding this incident.
The girl made these allegations
The victim student, studying in class 11th, in her complaint lodged at Una Mahila Police Station, said that the accused youth belongs to a particular community. She has known the accused youth for the last one and a half years. The young man used to harass her repeatedly over the phone. On January 20, the accused beat her and forcibly raped her. If I protested, I and my family were threatened with death. Along with this, the young man also used to put pressure on her to marry after converting her religion. After the complaint, the police got the victim’s medical done.
Case registered under these sections
On the complaint of the victim student, the police have started investigation and registered a case under sections 64(1), 115(2), 351(2), 352 and POCSO. Although the accused has not been arrested yet, soon the police will include the accused in the investigation. Soon, Police ASP Una Surendra Sharma told that the police have registered a case against the youth on the complaint of a minor and started investigation. The accused will be caught soon.
