Self Help Group Loan Day was organized today under the National Rural Livelihood Mission at the Bachat Bhawan of the Deputy Commissioner’s office. Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap participated in the program as the chief guest.
He said that all the people present in this meeting are working to implement the government schemes, hence the information should be complete and accurate. He said that the objective of organizing Loan Day is to facilitate quick and seamless process of loan application for Self Help Groups, resolve pending issues related to SHG loans, ensure timely disbursement of loans to eligible Self Help Groups and help Self Help Groups Financial literacy to the members andTo provide grievance redressal assistance.He said that a target was set to provide loans to 800 women of the district, under which 674 cases have been sent to banks and 84 percent of the target has been achieved. It was told in the meeting that blocks Mashobra, Chhohara, Theog, Rampur and Chaupal have achieved the target of more than 100 percent.
The Deputy Commissioner thanked all the Didis for coming to the program and said that he was happy that all the Didis were doing excellent work at the grassroots level and appreciated their efforts.
He said that all the sisters have done better work, hence everyone should be given certificates. He also instructed all Didis to provide certificates through the concerned Block Development Officer.
Anupam Kashyap asked all the Block Development Officers to hold a meeting with the bankers regarding loan matters so that any kind of objections can be removed and more and more SHGs can get loans.
He instructed Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma to ensure that all the Didis get training so that they can be helped in doing their work.
He instructed the District Development Officer that if the number of Didis is to be increased then they should work in this direction and also put the information on the departmental website and portal.
The Deputy Commissioner distributed certificates to the sections of self-help groups whose loans have been approved. Additionally, he honored FLCRP/Credit Mobilizers which included Rita and Mamta from Theog block, Manu, Reena and Sushma from Chhohara, Sunita, Pooja, Raksha and Meenakshi from Chaupal, Asha from Rampur and Meera from Mashobra. The Deputy Commissioner also honored the banks doing better work in loan distribution in which Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank was honored for getting the first position, UCO Bank for the second position and SBI Bank for getting the third position.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma, District Development Officer Kirti Chandel, all block development officers, officers of various banks, women of self-help groups and other officers and employees were present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner said that along with making pattals by the self-help group, they are also being supplied to Tara Devi Temple and Sankatmochan Temple, due to which the women of this group are getting a permanent income and empowerment of these women has been ensured. He said that the aim of the state government and the district administration is to strengthen the rural economy and in this regard, women of self-help groups are being empowered
