    Refined Oil in Himachal Pradesh to get cheaper from March.

    Shimla, 12February

    Food Supply Corporation has finalised the tender for refined oil. Below Poverty Line (BPL) ration consumers of Himachal Pradesh will get refined oil by Rs 11 and Above Poverty Line (APL) by Rs 13 cheaper from March.

     

    In Financial Bid, the lowest rate has been of Adani Company at Rs 131.91. On this, the state government will give a subsidy.

     

    This was informed by Food, Civil and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajendra Garg.

     

    APL consumers will get refined oil at Rs 122, while poor families will get it at Rs 104.

     

    Presently, APL consumers are being given refined oil for Rs 135 at the depot and Rs 115 per litre to BPL.

     

    After February 25, the Adani company will start the supply of refined oil and the Consumers will start getting it from March.

     

    There are 19.20 lakh ration cardholder families in Himachal Pradesh. Out of these, there are about 11 lakh APL, 6 lakh BPL and other income tax-paying families.

    IIT Mandi has signed an MoU with the District Disaster Management Authority Mandi (DDMA).

     

    The objective of the MoU is to work for the development of Landslide Monitoring and Early Warning Systems at certain sites.

     

    Laxmidhar Behera – newly appointed Director of IIT Mandi & Arindam Chaudhary, IAS, DC Mandi signed the MoU.

     

    “IIT Mandi is glad to partner with the State Government to address the issue of landslide”, said Laxmidhar Behera on the occasion.

     

    He further said that we have robust data analytics with us on landslides, and it shouldn’t fail in any condition.

     

    Arindam Chaudhary DC Mandi said that this initiative would help in protecting and saving lives.

     

    “Saving human lives is a matter of utmost concern, and this alert system will allow the administration to evacuate people more efficiently”, said Arindam Chaudhary.

    It was held at the auditorium of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali.

    Govind Singh Thakur awarded winners of tableau competitions, nati, fashion show and tug of war.

    All the winners were presented with a cash prize that would be distributed equally among all these Mahila Mandals.

    Chamba district achieved 99.41% targets under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

    Drinking water connections provided to 1,21,033 of 1,21,752 identified houses.

    DC Chamba Duni Chand Rana informed this in a meeting with the CEO of NITI Aayog after holding a national e-conference.

    99.41% of the targets had been achieved and the remaining houses will get the facility of ‘Har ghar nal se jal’ soon for which March 31 has been set the deadline by the NITI Aayog, said the DC.
