    Himachal Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Lakshya Institute of Education

     

    Lakshya Institute of Education celebrated Himachal Day with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of patriotism. The primary aim of the event was to highlight the rich cultural heritage and history of Himachal Pradesh.

    As part of the celebration, an inter-team quiz competition was organized among five teams—Agni, Vayu, Jal, Prithvi, and Aakash. The quiz proved to be engaging and highly competitive, testing participants’ knowledge of Himachal Pradesh’s art, culture, history, and geography. Team Aakash and Team Prithvi secured the first position, while Team Agni stood second. Team Jal and Team Vayu jointly achieved third place.

    In addition to the quiz, students presented vibrant cultural performances. The traditional Nati dance captivated the audience and showcased the cultural essence of the state. A meaningful skit was also performed, reflecting Himachali culture and values.

    The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Dr. P. L. Gupta. The Principal of Lakshya Convent School, Dr. (Mrs.) Kusum Gupta, along with other staff members, also attended the program and encouraged the students.

    The program concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers, whose efforts contributed to the success of the event.

    Himachal Pradesh Sub-Junior Boys Rugby Team Departs for Odisha National Championship

    The Himachal Pradesh Sub-Junior Boys Rugby team has left for Odisha to participate in the 10th Sub-Junior Boys National Rugby Championship. The national-level tournament will be held from January 20 to 22 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

    The team will be led by Pranjay from Paonta Sahib as captain, while Bhavesh has been appointed as vice-captain. The squad includes Ankit, Aryan, Aryan Kanwar, Vibhushit, Shaurya Sharma, Akshay, Lakshya, Shaurya, Vaibhav, and Nimesh, who will represent Himachal Pradesh in the championship.

    Sandeep Kumar will serve as the team’s head coach, with Sudhir Kumar as assistant coach. A special coaching camp was organized at The Spice Hotel Ground, Selaqui, where players underwent focused training ahead of the competition.

    Expressing confidence in the team’s performance, Dr. Vikas Sood, President of the Himachal Pradesh Rugby Association, extended his best wishes to all players.

    The association also acknowledged the support of SJVN Limited and Tirupati Industries Limited, whose contribution has helped the team participate in the prestigious national tournament.

    In the multipurpose building of the district headquarters, on Monday, the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) held a meeting with the district administration and officials of various departments and reviewed the damage caused during the disaster in the district. In the Central Team, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs G.Wasim Ashraf, Director, Central Jal Nigam (Ministry of Water Power), Anil Kumar Kushwaha, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Joint Secretary (Disaster Management) Nishant Thakur, HRTC Executive Director Murari Lal and TCB Specialist Dr. Krishna Chand were included on behalf of the state government.

     

    In the meeting, detailed information related to Public Works Department, Water Power, Electricity, Agriculture, Baghwani, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education, Health, National High Road and other departments were obtained. In the meeting, the Central Committee was presented information about the damage caused by the department in the district. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kullu Torul Ravish provided information about the damage done to roads, bridges, power lines, transformers, drinking water schemes, educational institutions, agricultural and gardening land and various government buildings in the district.

     

    The central team visited various disaster affected areas during the monsoon after the meeting.During this time, the team took the situation and loss in the Vyasu Nallas, Aleu, Green Tax Barrier at Solang village, Bahang, Old Manali, Vyamit sub-vegetable market Chaurihal, Aloo Ground, Patalikuhal, Chhrudu, Lanka Baker, Inner Akhada Bazaar and Summa. The team also interacted with the affected villagers and inquired about their problems and disadvantages.

    The Kullu district administration has affected hundreds of families from the disasters during the monsoon to the central party, the supply of roads, electricity-water, school, health center and agriculture-gardeners have suffered heavy damage. Taking cognizance of the situation, the team assured that the statistics of real damage would be placed before the Central Government so that relief and rehabilitation works can gain momentum. Deputy Commissioner Kullu Torul S. Officers of all departments including Ravish, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ashwani Kumar were present .

    To assess the damage caused in Karsog due to heavy rains, landslides and cloudburst, the inter-ministerial central team visited Karsog and took stock of the damage caused by this natural disaster.

     

    The members of the central team visited Shankar Dehra, Sanarli, Sarkol and Kutti etc. places and assessed the damage.

     

    The team members also saw the drinking water schemes of Jal Shakti Department, roads of Public Works Department, damaged cultivable land of Agriculture and Horticulture Department, gardens etc. affected by the disaster.

     

    ADM Mandi Dr. Madan Kumar provided information to the central team regarding the damage caused by the natural disaster in Karsog area. He also informed about the relief and rehabilitation work done so far in the affected areas.

     

    This central team included Wasim Ashraf, Director of CWC Shimla under the Ministry of Jal Shakti,

     

    A.K., Chief Engineer of Regional Office Shimla of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Kushwaha,

     

    Dr. Vikrant Singh, Joint Director in the Directorate of Wheat Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and Dr. DC Rana, Director and Special Secretary Revenue, Disaster Management were present on behalf of the state government.

     

    On behalf of the Karsog subdivision administration, SDM Karsog Gaurav Mahajan welcomed the central team at Shankar Dehra village and provided information about the damage caused by the disaster in the area.

     

    On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Dr. Madan Kumar, SDM Karsog Gaurav Mahajan, Dr. Murari Lal, and officers of the concerned departments were also present.

    बीबीएमबी की टीम ने पावर कंट्रोल स्पोर्ट्स बोर्ड में जीता कांस्या पदक

    भाखड़ा ब्यास प्रबंधन बोर्ड (बीबीएमबी) की पुरुष और महिला दोनों टीमों ने पावर कंट्रोल स्पोर्ट्स बोर्ड, भारत सरकार के बिजली मंत्रालय के तत्वावधान में 26 वें इंटर-सीपीएसयू बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट में भाग लिया, यह टूर्नामेंट 24 से 27 मार्च 2022 तक बेंगलुरु में कर्नाटक बैडमिंटन एसोसिएशन एकेडमी में आयोजित किया गया।

    राहुल कांसल, संयुक्त सचिव/जन संपर्क,बीबीएमबी-कम-केंद्रीय स्पोर्ट्स कमेटी, जो टीम के साथ बेंगलुरु गए हैं, ने बताया कि आज दिनांक 27/03/2022 को संपन्न हुई इस प्रतियोगिता, जिसे पावर ग्रिड द्वारा होस्ट किया गया, में बीबीएमबी पुरुष टीम को तीसरा स्थान यानी कांस्य पदक हासिल हुआ। इसके अतिरिक्त ओपन प्रतियोगिता में बीबीएमबी के गुरप्रीत सिंह व दविंदर सिंह की जोड़ी (doubles) ने दूसरा स्थान (रजत पदक) भी प्राप्त किया। इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 12 टीमों ने भाग लिया। इस टूर्नामेंट में अनूप श्रीधर भी विशेष मेहमान के रूप में मौजूद रहे।

    संजय श्रीवास्तव अध्यक्ष बीबीएमबी ने कहा कि सभी खिलाड़ियों ने खेल भावना से खेला एवं सभी खिलाड़ी उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के लिए वास्तविक बधाई के पात्र हैं। इस बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट में  अरविंद शर्मा, मुख्य अभियंता के साथ-साथ  सुखदीप सिंह, संयुक्त सचिव एवं मनोज कुमार, लेखाधिकारी जो टीम के साथ गए थे, ने भी सभी खिलाड़ियों के जुनून की सराहना की। यहाँ यह उल्लेखनीय है कि 45+ खिलाड़ियों में से भी गुरुप्रीत सिंह एवं पंकज असवाल ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया।
