    Avail Benefits of Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Scheme for Secure Future: DC Shimla

     

    Shimla: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap has urged workers in the unorganised sector to enrol under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana to ensure financial security in old age.

    Chairing a district-level review meeting here on Monday, Kashyap said the scheme offers a guaranteed monthly pension of ₹3,000 after the age of 60. He added that workers aged between 18 and 40 years, earning less than ₹15,000 per month, are eligible to join with a minimal monthly contribution ranging from ₹55 to ₹200, depending on their age. The Central Government contributes an equal amount under a 50:50 contribution model.

    Highlighting ease of access, the Deputy Commissioner said that registration under the scheme is being done free of cost at Lok Mitra Kendras. Applicants are required to provide an Aadhaar card, savings bank or Jan Dhan account details, and a mobile number.

    He further informed that a wide range of unorganised workers—including domestic workers, porters, kiln workers, sanitation workers, washermen, hawkers, agricultural labourers, construction workers, handicraft and handloom workers, leather workers, mid-day meal workers, MNREGA workers and other self-employed individuals—are eligible to benefit from the scheme. However, individuals covered under ESI, EPF, income tax payers or existing pension holders are not eligible.

    Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Pankaj Sharma, Labour Officer Inder Negi, Labour Welfare Officer Shrey Sharma and officials from various departments were present during the meeting.

    The district administration emphasised the need to increase awareness about the scheme to ensure maximum enrolment among eligible beneficiaries.

    Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (HPBOCW) web portal will be developed to foster transparency and efficiency in cess collection from various government and private organizations of the state. This was stated by the Chairman of the Board Nardev Singh Kanwar while presiding over the review meeting of HPBOCW here today.

     

    He said that the cess collection from private establishments is very low and directed to ensure collection of cess to enhance the resources of HPBOCW and enabling facilities for the benefit of building and other construction workers. The funds so collected are utilized for the welfare of construction workers for skill development allowances, education for children, and financial assistance for accidents and health incidents. He urged officers to enhance the cess collection to 300 crore during this financial year.

     

    He directed labour officers to ensure collection of cess from different organizations including private builders, petrol pump stations, hotels, factories, private educational institutions and shopping malls etc.

     

    He also emphasized on the registration of construction and other workers after ensuring proper verification.

    Himachal Pradesh has witnessed havoc at the beginning of the monsoon. After Kullu, now there is big news from Kangra and here 15 to 20 workers have been swept away due to flash flood in the ravine near a hydro project. At present, two bodies have been recovered.

     

    According to the information, about 15 to 20 workers were swept away due to sudden increase in water flow in Manuni Khad in Indira Priyadarshini Hydraulic Project, Sokni Da Kot (Khaniara) near Dharamshala. All of them were living in a shed built on the banks of the ravine. Dharmendra, a worker from Chamba, said that this incident happened near the power house bridge number one in the afternoon. He said that the weather had cleared around 1 pm on Wednesday and then suddenly there was a flood. He works as a builder in the project.

    Addressing the demonstration, CITU State President Vijendra Mehra, Balak Ram, Vivek Kashyap, Union President Jaswant Singh and General Secretary Omprakash Garg said that if the demands of Saheb Society, outsource and sanitation workers are not resolved immediately, then all Saheb workers will go on strike for demands like restoration of 10 percent annual salary hike, their regularization, cancellation of QR code, stopping outsourcing practice, giving salary equal to regular workers and other demands and will completely stop work in Shimla city, the responsibility of which will be of the corporation administration. Union advisor Pala Ram, Vice President Amit Bhatia, Naresh Thakur, Secretary Shiv Ram, Dalvindra Sunil, Yogesh, Bharat, Pawan, Narendra, Rupa, Poonam, Sharda, Devi Singh, Surat Ram, Narendra, Rakesh, Rahul, Boota Ram, Vikram, Digambar, Manoj, Ajit, Chandu Lal, Dinesh, Dharam Chand, Neeraj, Lalit, Madan, Indra, Prem, Rajiv, Khub Ram and Arvind along with other Saheb workers participated in the demonstration.

    B L Santosh participated in the Shimla Parliament meeting of Former District and mandal presidents since the party was formed.

    More than 60 workers participated in the meeting.

    Election was the primary agenda of the meeting held in Peterhoff Shimla and there was a two way discussion in the meeting.

    B L Santhosh took suggestions from all the participants of the meeting and they participated actively.

    All the workers were happy with the current working of the centre and the state government.

    BJP State President Suresh kashyap said that Old party workers and office bearers have geared up for changing the traditions in himachal politics and they are excited for the mission repeat in the state.

    Workers are the backbone of any political organisation and bjp has always given due respect to their workers.

    B L Santosh is on a two day tour of himachal pradesh where he took meetings in all four parliaments of the state.

    He started with Kangra and Hamirpur on the first day where he attended similar meetings.

    Today he reached Shimla to attend the parliament meeting after attending the Mandi parliament meet.

    State co election incharge Devinder Singh Rana said that the tour of B L Santosh is a boost to the cader of BJP in himachal. There are a lot of organisational issues that were discussed intensively in these meetings and the workers have actively participated in all the meetings.

    उद्योग एवं परिवहन मंत्री बिक्रम सिंह ने आज यहां बताया कि हिमाचल प्रदेश पथ परिवहन निगम में कार्यरत पीस मील वर्कर्स को अनुबंध पर लाने का निर्णय लिया गया है।
    उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश सरकार ने सबका साथ-सबका विकास-सबका विश्वास की भावना से कार्य करते हुए वर्ष 2011 से निगम में कार्यरत इन पीस मील वर्कर्स की चिरलम्बित मांग को पूरा किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्ष 2011 तथा उसके बाद निगम में आवश्यकतानुसार इन पीस मील वर्कर्स की तैनाती की गई थी। वर्तमान प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा अब इनकी सेवाओं को परिवहन निगम में अनुबंध पर करने का निर्णय लिया गया है।
    उन्होंने कहा कि परिवहन निगम में आईटीआई और नॉन-आईटीआई तथा दूसरे क्षेत्रों में पीस मील वर्कर्स कार्यरत हैं। इनके लिए हाल ही में तैयार नीति के अनुरूप कुल 823 पीस मील वर्कर्स में से 631 को प्राथमिकता के आधार पर अनुबंध पर तैनाती दी गई है जबकि शेष वर्कर्स को इसी प्रक्रिया के अन्तर्गत उनकी दक्षता के अनुसार अनुबंध पर लाया जाएगा।
    परिवहन मंत्री ने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार के निर्णय के अनुसार विभाग में 49 लोगों को करूणामूलक आधार पर रोजगार देने के भी आदेश जारी कर दिए गए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि इन निर्णयों से प्रदेश सरकार की कर्मचारी हितैषी नीतियों का लाभ सभी पात्र लोगांे को सुनिश्चित हुआ है। इसके लिए उन्होंने विशेष तौर पर मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर का आभार व्यक्त किया है।

    हिमाचल प्रदेश के एबीवीपी नेता कौल नेगी को हिमकोफेड का अध्यक्ष बनाने के जयराम सरकार के फैसले के खिलाफ रामपुर में भाजपा में बगावत हो गई है।

    पूर्व मंत्री सिंघी राम, पूर्व विस प्रत्याशी बृज लाल और प्रेम सिंह दरैक समेत करीब 100 भाजपा नेताओं तथा कार्यकर्ताओं ने इस्तीफा देने का निर्णय ले लिया है।

    प्रदेश सरकार की ओर से अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद से जुडे़ छात्र नेता कौल नेगी को स्टेट कोऑपरेटिव फेडरेशन यानी हिमकोफेड का अध्यक्ष नियुक्त करने पर भाजपा मंडल रामपुर के कई वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्रदेश सरकार के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोल दिया है।उन्होंने प्रदेश सरकार को चेतावनी देते हुए कहा कि सभी कार्यकर्ता विभिन्न पदों से इस्तीफा देने को तैयार हैं। भाजपा नेताओं का कहना है कि कौल नेगी को रामपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र के कोटे से यह नियुक्ति दी गई है।

    लाहौल स्पीति । हिमाचल प्रदेश के जनजातीय जिले लाहौल-स्पीति में माइनस तापमान के बीच 20 किशोरों को वैक्सीन लगाने के लिए स्वास्थ्य विभाग के कर्मचारी आठ इंच बर्फ के बीच सफर कर पहुंचे। स्वास्थ्य कर्मी बर्फबारी में फोर बाई फोर वाहन लेकर केलांग से 13 किलोमीटर दूर लोट गांव पहुंचे। इसके बाद सड़क से मालंग स्कूल में स्थापित वैक्सीनेशन केंद्र तक पहुंचे।

     

    कर्मियों ने वाहन के फिसलन के खतरे को नजरअंदाज करते हुए अपने कर्तव्य का पालन किया। वैक्सीनेशन केंद्र में बुधवार को 20 किशोरों को वैक्सीन लगाई गई। जनजातीय क्षेत्र लाहौल घाटी में लोट और मालंग स्कूल के किशोरों के लिए एक ही सेशन लगा। इसमें 20 किशोरों को टीका लगाया गया।

     

    बड़ी बात तो यह है कि यह कर्मी आठ इंच बर्फबारी में किशोरों की वैक्सीनेशन के लिए मालंग पहुंचे। हालांकि दो-दिनों से घाटी में बर्फबारी का दौर जारी है। इस सेशन में पीएचसी ठोलंग के डॉ. नैंसी, वरिष्ठ पुरुष स्वास्थ्य कर्मी वीरेंद्र सिंह, क्षेत्रीय अस्पताल केलांग की डाटा एंट्री ऑपरेटर पूनम और गीता देवी सहित चालक प्रीतम यांबा ने सेवाएं दीं।

     

    उधर, तकनीकी शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. रामलाल मारकंडा, पूर्व जिप सदस्य रमेश रुअलवा ने उक्त कर्मियों के कार्यों की सराहना की है। जिला स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी डॉ. रणजीत सिंह वैद्य ने कहा कि बुधवार को एक ही सेशन किया गया, जिसमें 20 किशोरों को वैक्सीन लगाई गई।

    हिमाचल प्रदेश की राजधानी शिमला स्थित इंदिरा गांधी मेडिकल कॉलेज व अस्पताल में एक महिला स्वास्थय कर्मी के कपड़े बदलते हुए वीडियो बनाने का मामला सामने आया है।

    इस घिनौनी वारदात को अंजाम देने वाला और कोई नहीं बल्कि अस्पताल परिसर में ही काम करने वाला सफाई कर्मी है। जिसकी शिकायत उक्त महिला ने पुलिस में दी।

    घटना की शिकायत मिलने के बाद लक्कड़ बाजार पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची। जहां पुलिस ने आरोपित सफाई कर्मी के खिलाफ आईपीसी की धारा 354 सी के तहत मामला दर्ज कर गिरफ्तार कर लिया है। इसके साथ ही कर्मी के मोबाइल को भी कब्जे में ले लिया गया है।

    पुलिस में दी शिकायत में महिला ने बताया कि वह आईजीएमसी के एक विभाग में तैनात है। मंगलवार को आईजीएमसी पहुंचने के बाद डयूटी के लिए वह चेंजिंग रूम में जाकर अपनी ड्रेस बदल रही थी। इस बीच महिला कर्मी ने पाया कि चेंजिंग रूम के साथ वाले कमरे की दीवार के ऊपर से एक मोबाइल के जरिए उसका वीडियो बनाया जा रहा है।

    इस पर घबरा कर महिला चेंजिंग रूम से बाहर निकली तो पाया की अस्पताल का ही एक सफाई कर्मचारी उसका वीडियो बना रहा है। वहीं, पुलिस द्वारा आरोपित व्यक्ति को हिरासत में ले लिया गया है। इसके साथ ही आईजीएमसी प्रबंधन भी अस्पताल में पेश आई इस हरकत पर सख्त कार्रवाई करने के मूख में नजर आ रहा है।
