    Gave directions to aware people of the welfare schemes started by the Govt.

     

    Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over marathon meetings with officers and officials of various departments to review the various development schemes on the second day of his Kangra Sojourn at Dharamshala today. He directed the departments to disseminate the welfare schemes of the government so that people could be made aware about the same and be benefitted.

    He instructed that the unspent funds which were earmarked for various works and could not be utilized well in time may be returned back to Deputy Commissioner or diverted for other works on the recommendation of the concerned MLAs.

    He said that the state government presented a ‘Green Budget’ this year under which 2 MW solar power projects would be set up in two Panchayats of each assembly constituency which also includes all the 15 assembly constituencies of Kangra district as well. He directed that the site selection for setting up the Solar projects should be completed at the earliest. He said that the state government has set a target of producing 500 MW of solar power this year. Besides, the state government has approved Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Yojana to provide 40 percent subsidy for setting up solar power projects ranging from 250 KW to 2 MW.

    Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the daily wages of MNREGA have been increased by Rs. 28 and enhanced it to Rs. 240 in the budget. He said that during the Corona epidemic, this scheme gave a boost to the economy and also provided employment to the people at their doorsteps.

    The state government has made a provision of providing financial assistance of Rs.1.5 lakh to widows and single women to construct a house and has set a target of benefitting 7000 women under this scheme along with providing them with electricity and water connection, said the Chief Minister. Apart from this, 6000 orphans have been adopted as Children of the State, under which the state government is providing them financial help to build houses along with bearing the entire cost of their education.

    He said that the State Government was going to launch Him Unnati Yojana, for which infrastructure was being developed and would purchase cow milk from the people at Rs.80 per litre and buffalo milk at Rs.100 per litre.

    The state government has made a provision in the budget for providing pension of Rs. 1500 per month to 2.31 lakh women above the age of 18 years in the first phase under the ‘Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Nidhi Yojana’ in a phased manner. All the eligible women of the state will be covered under this scheme, he said.

    He said that after studying every aspect of the development of malnourished children, SOPs will be prepared and implemented in the entire state. It is necessary to improve the health of the malnourished children, for which monitoring system will be evolved and they will be taken care of upto the age of 15 years.

    The Chief Minister said that 20 thousand meritorious girl students are being provided a subsidy of Rs. 25,000 to buy e-scooties. Along with this, by amending the Land Ceiling Act, now like sons, the daughter will also be counted as a separate unit. So far only the son has been counted as a separate unit in the family and the daughter was deprived of their rights. He said that this is a historic decision of the state government has taken.

    He also directed to select a suitable place for opening SDM in the Jaswan Paragpur assembly constituency. The MLAs also expressed their views in the meetings.

    On this occasion, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Kishori Lal, MLAs Sanjay Rattan, Bhawani Singh Pathania, Kewal Singh Pathania, Malender Rajan, Chairman Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, R.S. Bali, Chairman Agriculture Development Bank, Sanjay Chauhan, Vice Chairman Himachal Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation, Vishal Chambiyal, Treasurer HPCC, Dr. Rajesh Sharma and DCC President, Ajay Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nipun Jindal and other officers of various departments were present.

    Various representatives of 20 countries have reached Dharamshala for the G-20 summit on Tuesday. The meeting is going to start from Wednesday. Regarding the meeting, the responsibility of security has been entrusted on the shoulders of 500 police personnel, who have been deployed at every nook and corner of Dharamshala city. The venue and the living area of the guests have been heavily guarded. Apart from this, a separate team has been formed to gather information, so that any anti-social or other incidents can be avoided. SP Kangra Shalini Agrihotri said that in view of the G-20 meeting, flying of drones has been prohibited in Dharamshala. Along with this, orders have been issued to stop paragliding on Wednesday.

    He told that due to the G-20 meeting, police has deployed personnel from the airport to the Radisson Blu Hotel, the venue of the event, under the plan. 500 jawans have been deployed in this. Out of these, around 350 additional jawans have been called from other areas. Traffic has not been diverted anywhere in the traffic system. Nor has any traffic zone or one-way arrangement been made.

    SP Shalini Agrihotri told that cases of haphazard parking are continuously coming to the fore in the main places and chowks of the city. In the coming times, strict action will be taken if people try to improve the traffic system and do haphazard parking like this.

    In a hotel in Raja Ka Talab area of Nurpur in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, the police have arrested 3 people, including the hotel operator, for running a prostitution business. A girl was brought to the hotel and 3 people met her in an objectionable condition in the hotel.

    SP Nurpur District Police Ashok Ratna told that the police had received secret information. Prostitution business is going on in Hotel Raj located in Raja Ka Talab area. After this an action team was formed. A trap was laid by sending bogus customers. After this the spot was raided.

    During the action, hotel owner Shyam Sundar alias Bablu Sharma, manager Rakesh Sharma s/o Kishan Chand resident of Chuwadi, district Chamba and Abhishek s/o Satish resident of village Sohar, Post Office Dahab, tehsil Fatehpur, district Kangra were caught red-handed while forcing prostitution in Hotel Raj. .

    Further action is being implemented by registering a case against all the accused under sections 3, 4, 5, 6 of the Unethical Prostitution (Prevention) Act.

    In the series of programs of International Women’s Day, a district level function will be organized in Dharamshala on March 9, 2023.

    District Program Officer of Integrated Child Development Project Ashok Sharma told UNI that Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Prof. Chandra Kumar will attend as the chief guest, while Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma will be present as a special guest in the programme. The ceremony will begin at 10 am on Thursday, March 9.

    He said that the toppers in class 10th and 12th examinations will be rewarded with certificates and incentive money at the function. Cultural programs will be organized on the theme of women empowerment and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. At the same function, inspirational women officers will be honored under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign

    Nested in the lush green woodland of Oak and deodar, crosses meadows laden with wild flowers, glittering streams, the Deo Tibba trail is one of the most picturesque trek in the Himalayas.

    Sited in Beas valley , the trek renowned for its wild flower covered of meadows, terraced fields of apple, paddy, maize and of course the splashing thud of the stream. On a further hike one can shove to the emerald blue waters of the Chota Chandertal Lake which is at the elevation of 6001 m.

     

    The Deo Tibba Base Trek provides ample opportunities to the adventure junkies from exposure of glaciers to the moraine of the Himalayas.

    DETAILED ITINERARY:

    Manali – Chikka (10,200 ft. – 18 km)

    Reach manali and then drive towards the small village Jagatsukh. Here we will drop you to the Baraah Hazaari Hydro Water Station, the preliminary point of Deo Tibba Base trek. It will take around 5 -6 hours to reach first campsite, Chikka, which are hefty flat meadow land, perfect for the crusade exposure. The hike itinerary will rove through thickly wooded hillsides of Oak and Deodar, frequently passes by sprawling lush green meadows. The voyage will be perk-up by the innumerable variety of wild flowers and herbs.

    Chikka – Seri (12,800 ft. – apprx 8 Kms)

    Seri is a perfect palce to reconnect yourself with nature. So to reach Seri, firstly hike to a glorious football like ground having mountain crests all around. This is also a mark where Jagatsukh Nallah entirely squashes out.

    Seri – Tenta (13,775 ft.) – Chota Chandratal – Seri

    Board towards your next destination, Tenta, where you will explore the superlative visions of the Mt Deo Tibba and its intimidating glaciers which will ascend high in front of you. While on the track, you will also meet the three trivial streams having no bridges. If you want to go further, you can move towards bright green blue water charming lake –Chota Chandratal.

    Seri – Chikka – Manali

    After a dawdling breakfast, geared up to a place from where we commenced. The voyage will be same as we have taken at the initial stage, Baraah Hazaari.

    Enclosed by the snowy mountains, Kamrunag Shrine of Mandi is situated at an altitude of 3334 meters above sea level. It is believed that the Lord KamruNag wanted to participate in the great battle of Mahabharat. However, he was not allowed to take part in the battle. However, he witnessed the battle until its end.
    Kamrunag’s original name was Ratan Yaksha and he was a self-learned warrior. He practice by keeping Lord Vishnu’s idol in front of him and considered him as his master Guru. He got to know about the story of Mahabharat being fought in some far corner of Bharat and decided to take part in it. Brave and courageous he was, he decided to fight with the weaker party, which meant he was going to join the army of Kauravas.
    But his dream remains dream because Lord Krishan did not allow him to take part in battlefield.

    Disguised as a yogi, Lord Krishna appeared before the Yaksha. He asked him about his journey and told him about the hardships being experienced by wounded soldiers. Ratan Yaksha listened to the story and it strengthened his determination. Lord Krishan gave him a tough test to find out the strength of his arrows and said, “I will be convinced if you can pierce every leaf of that enormous peepal tree with thy arrow.” When the Yaksha was preparing his arrow, the Lord plucked some leaves and hid them in his closed fists. To his surprise, the arrow pierced even the leaves in his fists. Then Lord Krishan asked him about his guru, upon which the Yaksha replied it to be no one but the almighty himself.

    The yaksha could not resist and he had to offer what the Lord had asked for, his head. He gave away his head and asked the Lord to keep it alive until the Great War was over. The Lord immediately agreed and blessed him with the same, his head was brought to the Kamru Hill and today it is known as Kamrunag Temple.


    To witness the special ritual of immersing currency notes, gold and silver jewelry worth lakhs in the lakh, thousands of devotees visited Kamrunag Shrine. In Kamrunag temple money and jewellery offered by devotees is not deposited in the banks rather immersed in the lake water. This trend is being followed by centuries.
    The legends also say that villagers visit the lake and the temple to pray to the Rain God during summers and it is believed that only after prayers have been offered to the Lord, the rainy season marks its presence in the valley.

     

    Kamru Nag Lak
    Kamru Nag Lake has enormous religious significance in the region as the temple of one of most revered deities in Mandi, known as Kamrunag Dev is situated on the banks of lake. Pilgrims take holy bath during Kamrunag ‘jatar’ in the lake. A fair is held here on 14th of June every year. People make various offerings especially of gold ornaments, coins etc. People have been making offerings of gold and other precious metals and stones since centuries.

    Thus gold and other ornaments much more than anyone’s imagination lies buried in the depths of the holy lake of Kamrunag. Thieves have attempted several times in the past but without any success. During winters the lake is completely frozen.

    जिला कांगड़ा के धर्मशाला में 19-20 अप्रैल को जी20 बैठक प्रस्तावित है। धर्मशाला में होने वाली जी20 विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग की बैठक में भारत सहित दुनियाभर से लगभग 70 प्रतिनिधि भाग लेंगे। जी20 बैठक की तैयारियों के लिए आयोजित समीक्षा बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए विदेश मंत्रालय के संयुक्त सचिव एल. रमेश बाबू (आईएफएस) ने यह जानकारी दी। उपायुक्त कार्यालय में आयोजित इस बैठक में भारत सरकार में विज्ञान और इंजीनियरिंग अनुसंधान बोर्ड की निदेशक डॉ. मधु सिन्हा, उपायुक्त कांगड़ा डॉ. निपुण जिंदल, एसपी कांगड़ा डॉ. खुशाल शर्मा सहित विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया।

    धर्मशाला: मार्च के प्रथम सप्ताह में होने वाले भारत-ऑस्ट्रेलिया टेस्ट मैच को लेकर जिला प्रशासन द्वारा सभी तैयारियां कर ली गई हैं। मैच की तैयारियों को लेकर ऑस्ट्रेलियाई दूतावास के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ आयोजित बैठक में अतिरिक्त जिला दंडाधिकारी रोहित राठौड़ ने यह बात कही। बता दें कि भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच चार टेस्ट मैचों की बॉर्डर-गावस्कर ट्रॉफी सीरिज का तीसरा मैच पहली से पांच मार्च तक धर्मशाला के मनमोहक क्रिकेट स्टाडियम में होना तय हुआ है।

     

    उपायुक्त कार्यालय में आयोजित बैठक में अतिरिक्त जिला दंडाधिकारी रोहित राठौड़ ने ऑस्ट्रेलियाई दूतावास की प्रतिनिधि टैरी बक्कनी और सुज़ेन जोसेफ को प्रशासन द्वारा मैच को लेकर किए गए सभी प्रबंधों के बारे में विस्तार से अवगत करवाया। उन्होंने बताया कि मैच के दौरान आपदा प्रबंधन, सुरक्षा व्यवस्था, स्वास्थ्य सुविधा, यातायात व्यवस्था, अग्निशमन सहित सभी जरुरी व्यवस्थाओं के लिए संबंधित विभागों ने तैयारियां कर ली हैं।

     

    उन्होंने बताया कि जिला प्रशासन दोनों टीमों के खिलाड़ियों, उनके प्रबंधन स्टाफ और दर्शकों को मैच के दिनों में सुगम व्यवस्थाएं उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैच के दौरान किसी भी प्रकार की असुविधा के निदान के लिए उपायुक्त कार्यालय में 24×7 स्थापित कंट्रोल रूम पर 01892-229050, 229051, 229052 तथा टोल फ्री नम्बर 1077 पर किसी भी समय संपर्क किया जा सकता है।

     

    उन्होंने कहा कि इसके अतिरिक्त पुलिस सहायता कक्ष भी 24 घंटे उपलब्ध रहेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि मैच के दौरान किसी भी आपदा से निपटने के लिए एनडीआरएफ तथा एसडीआरएफ की टीमें हर पल तैयार रहेंगी। उन्होंने बताया कि मैच के दौरान किसी भी प्रकार की आपातकालीन स्थिति और आपदा से निपटने की तैयारियों को परखने के लिए प्रशासन द्वारा स्टेडियम में 20 फरवरी के बाद एक मॉक ड्रिल भी करवाई जाएगी।

     

    ऑस्ट्रेलियाई दूतावास के प्रतिनिधियों ने प्रशासन द्वारा की गई व्यवस्थाओं की सराहना करते हुए तैयारियों से संतुष्टि जताई। बैठक में एएसपी कांगड़ा मयंक चौधरी, आईएएस प्रोबेश्नर नेत्रा मेती, जिला चिकित्सा अधिकारी डॉ. गुरदर्शन गुप्ता, प्रधानाचार्य टांडा मेडिकल कॉलेज डॉ. भानु अवस्थी, एसएमओ जोनल अस्पताल धर्मशाला डॉ. राजेश गुलेरी, डीएसपी एसडीआरएफ सुनिल राणा और एचपीसीए के प्रतिनिधि समीर सिंह उपस्थित रहे।
