    High Court of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders for several members of the Himachal Pradesh Judicial Service in the cadre of District Judges and Additional District Judges, effective from June 1, 2026.

     

    According to the notification, District and Sessions Judge Hamirpur, Bhuvnesh Awasthi, has been transferred and posted as District and Sessions Judge, Shimla. Registrar (Admn., GAD & IT) of the High Court, Pankaj Sharma, has been shifted as District and Sessions Judge, Hamirpur.

     

    Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sundernagar, Avinash Chander, on his placement as District and Sessions Judge, has been transferred and posted as one of the Registrars in the High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla.

     

    Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge-II, Mandi, Hoshiar Singh Verma, has been transferred and posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sundernagar.

    On the occasion of Himachal Day Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu honored distinguished personalities of Himachal Pradesh with the State-Level Awards 2026. He presented the Civil Services Award, Prerna Srot Samman and Himachal Gaurav Award to individuals and institutions for bringing pride to the state and for their outstanding services and contributions in various fields.

     

    Deputy Commissioner Mandi, Apoorv Devgan and the Department of Digital Technology & Governance were honored with the Civil Services Award in the departmental/institutional category. Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil), Balh (District Mandi) Smritika Negi received the award in the individual category.

     

    Charu Sharma from Bhonth, District Shimla and Chhonzin Angmo from Chango village in Yangthang Tehsil of District Kinnaur were conferred with the Prerna Srot Samman in the Individual category. Members of the Indian National Women’s Kabaddi Team Ritu Negi from Sharog village of Shillai Tehsil, District Sirmour, Sakshi Sharma from Dhakouli village of Shillai Tehsil, Pushpa from Melah Tek village of Shillai Tehsil, Bhawan Devi from Bela village of District Mandi and Champa Thakur from Baghaigarh village of Churah Tehsil, District Chamba were awarded the Prerna Srot Samman in the Group category. Additionally, the Department of Urology at Chamiyana Hospital was also honored with the Prerna Srot Samman.

     

    Padma Shri awardee-2026 Prem Lal Gautam from Kandyana village of Barthi, District Bilaspur, Dr. O.P. Sharma from Dangri village of Nadaun Tehsil, District Hamirpur, Dr. Brij Sharma, Principal of the AIMSS Chamiana, Harleen Kaur of District Shimla and Snehlata from Bachhrin village of Ghumarwin Tehsil, District Bilaspur were honored with the Himachal Gaurav Award in the Individual category.

     

    District-level awards were also given to police personnel from Kinnaur, including ASI Vikas Guleria, Head Constable Lalit Kumar and Mehar Chand, along with Public Works Department officials such as SDO Bhim Sen Negi, JE Sumit Dogra, Ashok Kumar and technicians Medhar Singh and Sanjeev Kumar for their excellent services.

     

    During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed land ownership documents (patta) to 24 families under the Forest Rights Act (FRA).

     

    Apart from this nine beneficiaries under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board were provided financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each as the first installment for house construction, with a total support of Rs. 3 lakh aimed at helping widows, destitute individuals and single women build their homes.

     

    The Chief Minister also honoured the contingents of parade and cultural troops performed on the occasion.

    The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has recommended 16 candidates for appointment to the post of Assistant District Attorney (Class-I, Gazetted) on a trainee basis in the Department of Home (Prosecution), Himachal Pradesh.

    The recommendations were made on the basis of the Screening Test, Subject Aptitude Test (SAT), and Personality Test conducted by the Commission. A total of 23 posts were advertised, out of which 16 candidates have been recommended, while some posts remain vacant in specific categories.

    According to the official press note, the Screening Test and SAT were held on October 7, 2025, and the result was declared on January 15, 2026. The Personality Test was conducted from February 17 to 19, 2026.

    Category-wise, all five unreserved (UR) posts have been filled. Posts under SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories have also largely been recommended, while certain backlog and visually impaired category posts remain vacant.

    The Commission stated that the result is subject to the final outcome of ongoing court proceedings. The detailed result is available on the official website of HPPSC.

    Hamirpur district is poised for a major economic push with the launch of the Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) for 2026–27, pegging the district’s total credit potential at ₹2,063 crore. The plan was formally unveiled today by District Commissioner Mrs. Gandharva Rathore, IAS, at a district-level event.

    Prepared by NABARD, the PLP outlines sector-wise credit potential under the Priority Sector Lending (PSL) framework and assesses the scope for increased credit flow across key areas of the district economy. The plan aims to promote sustainable and inclusive growth, with a strong focus on agriculture, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and social infrastructure.

    As per the PLP for 2026–27, ₹794 crore has been earmarked for the agriculture sector, ₹1,086.04 crore for MSMEs, and ₹183.20 crore for allied sectors such as education, housing, renewable energy and social infrastructure.

    The document also identifies sector-specific infrastructure gaps and highlights critical interventions required from the State Government and financial institutions to fully harness the available potential under priority sector lending. By encouraging investment credit and creation of long-term assets, the PLP seeks to strengthen the sustainability of short-term credit as well.

    The credit projections have been formulated in line with Reserve Bank of India guidelines, national and state priorities, and the additional potential created through recently completed infrastructure projects. The PLP is expected to serve as a strategic guide for banks to expand and deepen their lending activities in the district.

    Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner underlined the crucial role of banks and financial institutions in translating the plan’s projections into tangible development outcomes. She urged line departments and banks to identify viable projects and conduct awareness camps to educate farmers and entrepreneurs about various central and state government schemes related to agriculture, MSMEs and allied sectors.

    The launch event was attended by DDM-NABARD, the Lead District Manager, District Planning Officer, Deputy Directors, officials from line departments, and representatives of major banks operating in the district.

    In the multipurpose building of the district headquarters, on Monday, the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) held a meeting with the district administration and officials of various departments and reviewed the damage caused during the disaster in the district. In the Central Team, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs G.Wasim Ashraf, Director, Central Jal Nigam (Ministry of Water Power), Anil Kumar Kushwaha, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Joint Secretary (Disaster Management) Nishant Thakur, HRTC Executive Director Murari Lal and TCB Specialist Dr. Krishna Chand were included on behalf of the state government.

     

    In the meeting, detailed information related to Public Works Department, Water Power, Electricity, Agriculture, Baghwani, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Education, Health, National High Road and other departments were obtained. In the meeting, the Central Committee was presented information about the damage caused by the department in the district. In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kullu Torul Ravish provided information about the damage done to roads, bridges, power lines, transformers, drinking water schemes, educational institutions, agricultural and gardening land and various government buildings in the district.

     

    The central team visited various disaster affected areas during the monsoon after the meeting.During this time, the team took the situation and loss in the Vyasu Nallas, Aleu, Green Tax Barrier at Solang village, Bahang, Old Manali, Vyamit sub-vegetable market Chaurihal, Aloo Ground, Patalikuhal, Chhrudu, Lanka Baker, Inner Akhada Bazaar and Summa. The team also interacted with the affected villagers and inquired about their problems and disadvantages.

    The Kullu district administration has affected hundreds of families from the disasters during the monsoon to the central party, the supply of roads, electricity-water, school, health center and agriculture-gardeners have suffered heavy damage. Taking cognizance of the situation, the team assured that the statistics of real damage would be placed before the Central Government so that relief and rehabilitation works can gain momentum. Deputy Commissioner Kullu Torul S. Officers of all departments including Ravish, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ashwani Kumar were present .

    Meeting held under chairmanship of DM regarding law and order during monsoon session

    The officers of the District Administration and Police Department should keep a close watch from every aspect to maintain law and order so that no kind of disorder arises during the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Monsoon Session-2025.

    District Magistrate Shimla Anupam Kashyap gave these directions while presiding over a meeting with the sector officers of the District Administration and Police Department at Bachat Bhawan here today. He said that the monsoon session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held from 18 August to 2 September, 2025. During this, the sector officers of the District Administration and Police Department should work in close coordination so that the successful conduct of the monsoon session can be ensured.

    Vidhan Sabha area divided into 05 sectors
    The District Magistrate said that for the monsoon session, the District Administration has divided the Vidhan Sabha and its surrounding area into 05 sectors and a sector officer has been appointed in each sector. He said that these sectors include Vidhan Sabha Complex along with Vidhan Sabha Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk Chaura Maidan near Cecil Hotel, Vidhan Sabha Bifurcation Cart Road Kennedy Chowk to Chaura Maidan, Cart Road and CTO.

    Comprehensive security plan prepared – SSP
    Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shimla Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared for the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Monsoon Session and a detailed briefing has also been done with all the concerned police officers so that no person violates the law and order during this period. He said that during the Vidhan Sabha session, the police department will keep a close watch on every aspect in view of internal and external security. The security arrangements will be ensured in coordination with the CID.

      To honour the brave soldiers, kin of martyrs and various Gallantry award recipients who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country, a ‘Jai Hind Sabha’ function was organised here at Shimla today.

    Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented a cheque of Rs. 30 lakh to the kin of martyr Subedar Major Pawan who made the supreme sacrifice in Operation Sindoor which was received by his father Garaj Singh and son Abhishek. At the same time, Rs. 15 lakh was given to Jamila, wife of martyr Naik Dilbar Khan, Kirti Chakra recipient and Rs. 10 lakh to Bharat Lakshmi, wife of martyr havildar Rohit Kumar.

    The officers of the State Government must work with greater commitment and zeal to ensure that the ongoing projects nearing completion in the district were completed within the stipulated time period so that people of the district could be benefitted. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the review meeting of Aspirational District Programme and Other Developmental works of Chamba district at Chamba today.

    Chief Minister said that in order to achieve the goal of building New India, the Union Government led by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through NITI Aayog has selected 112 such districts in the whole country which were most backward in terms of development and these districts were designated as aspirational districts. He said that Chamba district was also included under this ambitious programme as it was felt that being a far-flung and hard district, it requires greater focus in matter of development. He said that Aspirational District Program was launched in district Chamba by the then Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on January 22, 2018, with the objective to ensure inclusive and all-round development in the district. Under this program, on the basis of transparent parameters, a composite index was prepared taking into account various challenges faced by the citizens in terms of poverty, relatively weak and malnutrition, education status and inadequate infrastructure etc, he added.

    Jai Ram Thakur directed the officers to motivate the pregnant women to opt for institutional delivery. He said that for this special awareness campaign must be launched and para workers like Anganwari workers, ASHA workers should also sensitize and educate the people regarding benefits of institutional deliveries. He said that State Government has also started schemes to motivate the people to go for institutional delivery, besides ensuring effective implementation of central scheme Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritatav Abhiyan. He said that the farmers of the district must also be motivated for adopting natural farming as this would increase their yield alongwith enhancing their income. He also felt the need to bring more and more area under micro irrigation so that the farmers could be motivated for cultivation of off-season crops and vegetables.

    Chief Minister, while expressing concern over the weak telecom and internet connectivity in some parts of the district, directed the BSNL, Airtel and Jio authorities to ensure better connectivity in the district. He also directed the Public Works Department to expedite work on various rural roads to strengthen road connectivity. He said that since the working season of a few areas of the district were limited, therefore, the work should be carried out on mission mode. He said that vacancies in the key departments of the district would also be filled up on priority. He said that the State Government would ensure that all the functional posts must be filled on priority so that the pace of development does not get affected due to want of staff. He directed the officers of Jal Shakti Department to lay special thrust on providing drinking water in water scarcity areas.

    He said that Chamba district has marked progress in various indicators and the NITI Aayog has approved various projects for Chamba district as an incentive on the basis of better performance in delta ranking.

    Deputy Commissioner Chamba D.C. Rana while welcoming the Chief Minister said that the district got second rank in the field of health and nutrition in March 2019, for which an amount of Rs. 3 crore was provided by NITI Aayog as an incentive. He said that in the month of November, 2020, the district got a good rank in basic infrastructure and an amount of Rs. 3 crore was received from NITI Aayog as an incentive. He said that in September, 2021, the district got an overall good rank, for which an amount of Rs. 2 crore was received as an incentive. He said that Projects worth about Rs. 26.38 crore have been approved under CSR head, which was being spent on improvement. He said that an amount of about Rs. 15 crores was provided by NHPC, under CSR which was used to install MRI and CT scan machines in Medical College Chamba. He said that an amount of Rs. 3.27 crore has been provided by REC, which was being utilized to construct scientific labs in 19 schools. He assured the Chief Minister that the district administration would work with missionary deal to improve its ranking in Aspirational District Programmes and also complete the ongoing projects within stipulated time period. He also urged the Chief Minister to fill up various vacant posts in different departments in the district.

    Deputy Speaker State Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hansraj and Chief Whip Vikram Jaryal also gave their suggestions on the occasion and also underlined various issues of development on the occasion.

    राज्य के प्रतिभाशाली युवा अपनी कड़ी मेहनत के दम पर हर क्षेत्र में मुकाम हासिल कर रहे हैं। अपने कठिन परिश्रम से सरकारी नौकरी हासिल कर ली है ।‌ इस उपलब्धि से परिजनों के अलावा गाँव के लोग खुद को गौरवान्वित महसूस कर रहे हैं।

    ग्राम पंचायत मौडा़ के प्रधान अशोक सूर्यांश का कहना है कि सभी समस्त बच्चों को इस बच्चे से शिक्षा लेनी चाहिए, नशे पत्ते से दूर रहें, और अपने लक्ष्य पर ध्यान केंद्रित करें । ताकि वे भी इस मुकाम को हासिल कर सकें ।

    स्कूल शिक्षा और साक्षरता एवं शिक्षा मंत्रालय भारत सरकार द्वारा प्रायोजित पढ़ना लिखना अभियान जिला कुल्लू में चलाया जा रहा है। इस सम्बंध में आज उपायुक्त डा. ऋचा वर्मा की अध्यक्षता में उनके चैंबर में बैठक का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें शिक्षा विभाग सहित अन्य विभागों के अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया।

    उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान का मुख्य उददेश्य निरक्षरता को पूरी तरह से दूर  करने के लिए मूलभूत साक्षरता व्यस्कों में लाना है। अभियान के अंतर्गत 15 वर्ष से अध्ेिाक आयु वर्ग के व्यस्कों को एनसीईआरटी द्वारा विकसित  किए गए अक्षर  ज्ञान एवं अंक ज्ञान द्वारा  शिक्षित किया जाएगा। कुल्लू जिला में 10 हजार निरक्षरों को जो कि 15 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वर्ग के हैं, उन्हें साक्षर करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।  सर्वेक्षण द्वारा निरक्षर लोगों को चिन्हित करके उनकी सीखने की जरूरतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए अनुदेशक द्वारा चार महीनों या इससे अधिक समय में 120 घंटों का प्रशिक्षण पूरा किया जाएगा। इसके लिए पात्र व्यक्ति अपने -2 विकास खंड के विकास खंड अधिकारी के कार्यालय में संपर्क कर इस अभियान की पूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त करने के साथ-2 अपना पंजीकरण करवा सकते हैं। इसके लिए लाभार्थी को अपना आधार कार्ड साथ लाना होगा।

    उन्होंने विभागीय अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि 10 दिन के भीतर खंड तथा जिला स्तर पर समितियों का गठन किया जाए। जिला के दूर-दराज क्षेत्रों, गुज्जर समुदाय, झुग्गी-झोपड़ियों में रहने वाले लोगों, प्रवासी मजदूरों का सर्वेक्षण किया जाए तथा सर्वेक्षण के दौरान ऐसे लाभार्थी का नाम पता, आधार कार्ड, मोबाईल नम्बर लेना सुनिश्चित किया जाए। उन्होंने बताया कि  अभियान से जुड़े सभी विभागों को सर्वेक्षण हेतु प्रारूप तैयार कर शीघ्र उपलब्ध करवाया जाए। सर्वेक्षण कार्य के लिए स्कूल, कालेज के एनसीसी, एनएसएस, प्राथमिक पाठशाला के अध्यापकों, नेहरू युवा केन्द्र से स्वयंसेवियों, सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं, एनजीओज जो कि सम्बंधित क्षेत्र के हों, सर्वे कर डाटावेस तैयार किया जाए। सर्वेक्षण के दौरान लाभार्थियों का नाम पता, मोबाईल नम्बर तथा आधार नम्बर लेना भी सुनिश्चित किया जाए।  खंड स्तर पर कमेटियों का गठन किया जाए। नगर परिषद तथा नगर पंचायत क्षेत्रों में कार्यकारी अधिकारी स्वयं सहायता समूहों तथा पंचायत स्तर पर पंचायत सचिव, वार्ड सदस्यों तथा नगर परिषद तथा नगर पंचायतों के अंतर्गत आने वाले शहरी क्षेत्रों में प्रसिद्ध एवं विशिष्ट व्यक्तियों की सूचि बनाकर ऐसे व्यक्तियों की स्वैच्छिक सेवाएं ली जा सकती हैं। सर्वेक्षण से सम्बंधित प्रारूप को परियोजना अधिकारी ग्रामीण विकास अभिकरण के माध्यम से समस्त विकास खंड अधिकारियों को 10 दिन के भीतर पहुचाना सुनिश्चित करें।

    उन्होंने कहा कि इस अभियान के दौरान महिलाओं को  मासिक धर्म के दौरान व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता के बारे में भी जागरूक किया जाए। एनसीईआरटी द्वारा विकसित किए गए अक्षर ज्ञान एवं अंक ज्ञान द्वारा व्यस्कों को शिक्षित किया जाएगा। अभियान के दौरान स्वयंसेवी अध्यापक 15 से 20 लोंगों को अनुदेशित करेंगे।
