A blood donation campaign was organised at The ridge, Shimla, on Sunday.
Organised by the Help & Help foundation, formed in Shimla on dated 31/10/22, the organisation is also working on many social welfare activities. People around the ridge were seen actively participating in the event .
Certificate of participation was also given to each donor. 100+ units of blood were collected by Help and Help organization, and 30+ people registered themselves for the organ donation for SOTTO.
Dr. Ranbir Singh Thakur , who is the president of the foundation said that any fit person can donate a blood after each three months and people should actively participate in this noble cause, since the need of blood is in every hospital, and it is needed in every emergency cases. He pleaded for people to actively participate in the campaign.
As per the Media consultant of the organisation Rameshwari Bhardwaj Of SOTTO (State organ and tissue transplant organization, Himachal Pradesh) which was also collaborating in the camp with the foundation, the organisation is actively conducting an organ donation program, where people can donate different part of their human body after their death. The ones willing to donate their organs can sign up in www.notto.gov.in and register themselves. People after the blood donation were seen registering for the organ donation campaign aswell.
Doctors and members from IGMC Shimla,Help and Help organization, and different volunteers were also present at the event .
