The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has recommended 16 candidates for appointment to the post of Assistant District Attorney (Class-I, Gazetted) on a trainee basis in the Department of Home (Prosecution), Himachal Pradesh.
The recommendations were made on the basis of the Screening Test, Subject Aptitude Test (SAT), and Personality Test conducted by the Commission. A total of 23 posts were advertised, out of which 16 candidates have been recommended, while some posts remain vacant in specific categories.
According to the official press note, the Screening Test and SAT were held on October 7, 2025, and the result was declared on January 15, 2026. The Personality Test was conducted from February 17 to 19, 2026.
Category-wise, all five unreserved (UR) posts have been filled. Posts under SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories have also largely been recommended, while certain backlog and visually impaired category posts remain vacant.
The Commission stated that the result is subject to the final outcome of ongoing court proceedings. The detailed result is available on the official website of HPPSC.
