Himachal government has shown the way out to 1,844 Corona outsourced employees. The dismissal order has been sent to employees even through email . In the letter, these employees have been asked not to come to the hospital. These employees were deployed during the Corona period.
Apart from Corona ward, he was appointed in OPD of hospitals. Apart from this, these employees were also responsible for testing the patients in the lab. There is anger among these employees towards the government after firing them from the job. On Tuesday, these employees will meet Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu at the Secretariat.
The issue was raised prominently by opposition leaders and BJP MLAs within the Assembly. A demand was made to the government to reinstate the jobs of these employees. BJP also demanded restoration of services of the employees during the protest outside the Assembly. Now these employees have had to lose their jobs.
Himachal Corona Outsourced Employees Union President Anjali Bhardwaj said that during the time of Corona, the government had appointed staff nurses, lab technicians, ward boys, pharmacists, cooks, and drivers. Employees have served in hospitals without leave. During the Corona period, he went from village to village to make people aware about the deadly disease. Where government employees could not go, outsourced employees reached there to provide services to the people.
Despite providing services in hospitals of Himachal, Corona outsourced employees have not even received salaries for six months. This matter has also been brought to the notice of the government, but only assurance has been received.
