A 2-year-old girl of a migrant laborer died due to drowning in a water drum in Bagicha village located in Bhuntar. According to the information, this laborer couple has been living in a rented house in Bagicha village for many years. They are earning their living by working hard. On Saturday, the girl was playing in the courtyard where there was also a water drum. Parents were busy with their work. When after some time they saw that the girl was not in the courtyard.
They searched here and there for the girl but could not find her anywhere. Then I turned my attention towards the water drum and saw that the little girl had fallen into it. Then the family members were shocked and the father immediately took the girl to Tegubehad hospital. While the doctors tried to bring the girl back to consciousness by giving her oxygen etc., but by then the girl’s heartbeat had stopped.
After thorough examination of the girl’s health, the doctors declared her dead. The deceased girl has been identified as 2-year-old Chandni, daughter of Nem Ram, resident of Gengtangala Dak. Kabsina is located in Tehsil Dataganj District Badaun Uttar Pradesh. The police have conducted post-mortem and handed over the body to the relatives. Besides, investigation has been started after recording the statement of the parents of the deceased.
