A woman died due to drowning in Dehalvi under Jhanduta police station. According to the information, 30-year-old Anjubala, wife of Kundan Lal, resident of village Dehalvi, post office Dahd, tehsil Jhanduta, district Bilaspur, went out of the house last morning for defecation, etc. But when she did not return after a long time, the family started looking for her. After searching, she was found lying face down in a lake near the house. On which the family along with the villagers took her out of the lake and took her to the Community Health Center Jhanduta for treatment. Where the doctor declared her dead. The hospital administration informed the police about this.
On receiving the information, Jhanduta police station reached the hospital and took the body in its possession. The deceased’s husband Kundan Lal and father Ratan Lal along with other people, were present on the spot. The police recorded the statements of the family members. But no one expressed any doubt. The family members have said in the statement that she might have died due to slipping and falling into the dam and drowning. After conducting the post-mortem of the deceased in the regional hospital, the police handed over the body to her husband, Kundan Lal. Police spokesperson DSP Bilaspur Madan Dhiman has confirmed the case.
