Four houses were burnt to ashes in a massive fire that broke out suddenly at around 4:30 am on Monday morning in Seri village of Sungari under Rohru subdivision of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. After receiving information about the fire, the fire department team reached the spot and after hard work with the villagers, they brought the fire under control. The cause of the fire has not been known. The affected include Kailash son of Shiv Saran, Mohan Lal son of Sohan Lal and two others.
Rohru Fire Officer Sanjeev Verma said that four fire vehicles from three fire stations were called to extinguish the fire, and the fire has been controlled. Rohru DSP Ravindra Negi said that four houses were completely destroyed in this fire incident. A cow tied in a cattle shed has died after being burnt alive. The cause of the fire is being investigated. SDM Rohru Vijay Vardhan said that the administration is constantly monitoring the situation. Since the house was made of wood, the fire spread rapidly.
