4 youths of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh have died in an accident in Uttarakhand. The accident happened on Sunday morning on the Kavanu Meenas road on the Himachal-Uttarakhand border. While coming from Dehradun to Nerva, a car lost control and fell into the Tons river.
All the four youths in the car died on the spot in the accident. Nerva and Uttarakhand Police recovered the four bodies by running a joint rescue operation. The car rolled off the road and fell into the Tons river.
According to the preliminary information received from the police, the four deceased are residents of Nerwa and Chaupal in district Shimla. They were identified as Mohit, Tanu, Amarjeet and Sandeep. Mechanical investigation will be done as to what was the reason for the accident.
It is being told that some people informed the Nerva and Uttarakhand police about the car falling into the river. Police personnel reached the spot and did the rescue, but by then all the four youths had died. As soon as the news of the accident spread, the villagers also reached the spot.
