4884 cases settled in National Lok Adalat

National Lok Adalat was organized today in the courts located in Nalagarh, Kasauli Arki along with Solan district headquarters. This information was given by Mrs. Akanksha Dogra, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Solan.
He said that 12 Lok Adalat benches were constituted in this national court. Pre-Lok Adalat sittings were also conducted in the month of September. On this occasion, a total of 6944 cases were put up for hearing in pre-Lok Adalat sittings and before various benches of Lok Adalat, out of which 4884 cases were settled with the mutual consent of various parties. The total settlement amount in these cases was Rs 19,28,59,646. In these cases, 5514 motor vehicle challans were also put up before various benches, out of which a total of 3945 cases were settled.
These Lok Adalats were organised under the chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority Chairman and District and Sessions Judge Solan Arvind Malhotra.
