The valedictory session of the 5-Day Drone Bootcamp, jointly organized by N.I.T. Kurukshetra and Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, under the “Capacity Building for Human Resource Development in Drone and Related Technology” project sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), was successfully held on 18th April 2025.
The bootcamp, conducted from 14th to 18th April 2025, offered an excellent platform for participants to gain both theoretical insights and practical exposure in the domain of Drone Technology. Over the five days, students engaged in comprehensive sessions covering drone design fundamentals, hardware components, flight control systems, simulation-based training, safety standards, and live drone flying demonstrations. The program was structured to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required to work confidently in this emerging technological field.
The sessions were conducted by an expert academic team from N.I.T. Kurukshetra under the leadership of Professor Lilli Dewan, supported by her esteemed team members: Prof. Mahesh Pal, Dr. Satyender, Dr. Shelza, Dr. Ritu Garg, Prof. Munish Garg, Dr. Mohit Dua, Dr. V.G.D. Rayudu, and Dr. Sanjay. Their dedication, expertise, and hands-on approach ensured the bootcamp was both engaging and impactful for every participant.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Lilli Dewan and her entire team for their exemplary efforts and contribution in making this bootcamp a resounding success. We are especially grateful to Prof. R. K. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of JUIT, for his constant encouragement, valuable guidance, and wholehearted support throughout the organization of this event. We also express our sincere thanks to Prof. Vivek Sehgal, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and Prof. Rajiv Kumar, Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, for their academic leadership and cooperation during the entire program.
Our special appreciation goes to the Faculty Coordinators of Enkindle Club, JUIT — Dr. Aman Sharma and Dr. Anita Sardana — for their meticulous planning, execution, and seamless coordination of the event. We also acknowledge and appreciate the hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment shown by the student coordinators of Enkindle Club, JUIT, whose contributions were pivotal to the smooth and successful conduct of the bootcamp. The valedictory session concluded with a vote of thanks, the distribution of participation certificates, and a shared vision for nurturing future-ready talent in the fast-evolving fields of drone technology and autonomous systems.
