Ensuring compliance with the directives of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, the Revenue Department has extensively adopted new and modern technology to facilitate a transparent working system. This is ensuring speedy resolution of revenue-related matters. Furthermore, people no longer need to visit government offices to get their work done repeatedly. Two years ago, the state government dedicated the Revenue Management Portal to the public, through which orders have been uploaded in 116,490 cases. Additionally, important information related to revenue matters is being regularly updated on the portal, allowing people to view their case-related information online from the convenience of their homes. A state government spokesperson stated that under Chief Minister Sukhu’s leadership, the current state government is committed to adopting cutting-edge technology to ensure efficiency in departmental functioning. Digitization and e-filing systems are being promoted. The paperless registration system, “My Deed,” launched in the state is also yielding positive results.
Under this system, 55,874 registrations have been completed in the state so far. Taking advantage of this facility, anyone can apply for registration at any time with the Tehsildar, requiring only a single visit to the Tehsil office. This process is saving time and money. For the convenience of officials, an e-Roznamcha system has been implemented, ensuring digital records of daily activities. To ensure good governance and transparency, all revenue courts in the state have been made online since September 1, 2025. This ensures e-filing for all filings and hearings related to partition, demarcation, rectification, and encroachment. Since the launch of this facility, 5,940 cases have been filed.
All land record maps in the state have been digitized
All land record maps in the state have also been digitized and geo-referenced, meaning they are now linked to the digital map. This is providing transparency in land-related matters and quick access to landowners. Chief Minister Sukhu says that the state government is prioritizing transparency in administration. Digitization in departments is ensuring transparency and accountability.
