Approval was given on Monday in a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner regarding sending six proposals from the district under the State Disaster Reduction.
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap stated that a proposal worth ₹85.56 million has been prepared for repair work from Cart Road to Annadale. Additionally, slope protection work near Razhana in Kasumpti will be carried out at an estimated cost of ₹14.84 million. Proposals for landslide prevention on the Mangsu Road in Kumarsain are ₹15 million, ₹19.9 million at Pandar Kainchi Chatog, ₹86.37 million for relief work in the sinking zone from Ramchandra Chowk to Henalt Public School, and ₹107.4 million for landslide prevention near the National Law University. The District Disaster Management Authority has approved all these proposals, and they will now be sent to the State Disaster Management Authority for approval.
Anupam Kashyap said that the Public Works Department had prepared estimates to prevent damage due to a disaster across the district, where there was a high risk of damage or where disasters had already occurred. Approval for six works was granted at the district level and will now be sent to the State Disaster Management Authority for approval.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Divyanshu Singhal, ADM Protocol Jyoti Rana and other dignitaries were present in this meeting.
