Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that the government is committed to ensure quality education in all sections of the society and in view of this, thousands of teacher posts have been filled in the education department in the last two years. He said that in the coming time, 937 posts of TGT Arts, Medical and Non-Medical will be filled by the State Selection Commission, the application process for which has already started. Along with this, more than 1800 JBT posts will also be filled soon through the commission.
The Education Minister was present in Rohru today on a one-day visit where he attended as the chief guest in the program “Zenith” organized by CZ Modern Senior Secondary School, Rohru.
Rohit Thakur said that the present state government is committed to providing quality education. Along with this, private institutions are also doing good work in this field due to which Himachal Pradesh has become a leader in the field of education as per the AASAR report. Rohit Thakur also said that the National Assessment Survey report will also come in a short time in which Himachal will also perform well.
It is noteworthy that the said institute is a big and important institute of Rohru area and has been doing unprecedented work in the field of education for more than 10 years. In the last few years, many students of this institute have achieved success in various competitive examinations, which include difficult and career-important exams like NEET, NDA, and JEE. On this occasion, the Education Minister, while addressing all the children, teachers and parents who had come to the function, said that CZ Modern Senior Secondary School has given positive results as expected in the field of education and for this he congratulates the school administration and students and wishes them all the best for the coming times.
Everyone must unite to try to stop drug abuse
Expressing concern over the growing trend of drug addiction, the Education Minister said that it is very important for all of us to make united efforts to stop the increasing influence of drug addiction among the youth, especially school children.
On this occasion, various cultural programmes were presented by school children and Harmony of Pines Police Band and Himachali folk singer Kuldeep Sharma also performed cultural programmes. The Education Minister also distributed prizes to the meritorious students.
Education Minister inspected the under construction sports hostel
After this, the Education Minister also inspected the construction work of the sports hostel building being constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore 66 lakh. It is worth mentioning that volleyball and football training will be provided in this hostel. Earlier, this hostel had 12 seats for volleyball which have been increased to 20. Emphasizing the importance of sports, the Education Minister said that along with studies, sports are also very important in student life, in view of which, in addition to volleyball, now training in Kabaddi and Badminton will also be given in the girls’ sports hostel in Rohru as well as Jubbal. He also gave instructions to complete the construction work soon. Along with this, he interacted with the students and teachers during the program organized in Government Senior Secondary School (Boys).
