Janmashtami celebrated at Kasauli International Public School with devotion and cultural fervour

 

Sanwara (Solan), September 6: Kasauli International Public School, Sanwara, celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami on September 4 with devotional fervour and a series of cultural programmes.

The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Poonam Thakur and CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra. The school premises and temple were decorated with flowers and colourful embellishments for the occasion.

Young students dressed as Radha and Krishna added to the festive atmosphere. Students presented a range of cultural performances, including a tableau depicting Radha and Krishna, devotional dances, bhajans and songs. Speeches based on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna also highlighted the values associated with the festival.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Poonam Thakur extended Janmashtami greetings and said the life of Lord Krishna continues to inspire people to follow the path of love, truth and righteousness.

CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra said the message of Karmayoga from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita remains relevant even today. He encouraged students to incorporate the ideals and teachings of Lord Krishna into their lives.

Managing Director Hira Thakur conveyed Janmashtami greetings to students, teachers and parents. He said cultural festivals help children remain connected with their roots and values while strengthening their moral foundation.

The celebrations concluded with the distribution of prasad among those present. The gathering also offered collective prayers for happiness, peace and prosperity in the world.
