    Sanwara (Solan), September 6: Kasauli International Public School, Sanwara, celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami on September 4 with devotional fervour and a series of cultural programmes.

    The celebrations began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Poonam Thakur and CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra. The school premises and temple were decorated with flowers and colourful embellishments for the occasion.

    Young students dressed as Radha and Krishna added to the festive atmosphere. Students presented a range of cultural performances, including a tableau depicting Radha and Krishna, devotional dances, bhajans and songs. Speeches based on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna also highlighted the values associated with the festival.

    Addressing the gathering, Principal Poonam Thakur extended Janmashtami greetings and said the life of Lord Krishna continues to inspire people to follow the path of love, truth and righteousness.

    CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra said the message of Karmayoga from the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita remains relevant even today. He encouraged students to incorporate the ideals and teachings of Lord Krishna into their lives.

    Managing Director Hira Thakur conveyed Janmashtami greetings to students, teachers and parents. He said cultural festivals help children remain connected with their roots and values while strengthening their moral foundation.

    The celebrations concluded with the distribution of prasad among those present. The gathering also offered collective prayers for happiness, peace and prosperity in the world.

    The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal Poonam Thakur and CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra.

    Students presented a series of cultural performances as a mark of respect for their teachers. Young students performed Bhangra and a fun dance, while others presented poems and delivered speeches highlighting the importance of teachers and their contribution to shaping students’ lives. The performances were received with applause from the audience.

    Addressing the gathering, Principal Poonam Thakur extended Teachers’ Day greetings to the faculty and said teachers were “true nation builders” who impart knowledge as well as values and good संस्कार to children.

    CEO Dr Sanjeev Mainra said teachers play an important role in shaping the future of children and guiding society in the right direction, adding that their contribution could never be forgotten.

    Managing Director Hira Thakur, in his message, described teachers as the “soul of the school” and appreciated their dedication, commitment and hard work. He said the institution was proud of its teaching staff and wished them continued success.

    Kasauli: The Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department is intensifying its efforts to strengthen digital governance and the e-office system to improve transparency, efficiency and timely delivery of drinking water and irrigation projects, Principal Secretary Dr. Abhishek Jain said on Wednesday.

    Addressing a one-day workshop on “Digital Governance and Contract Management” organised by the Shimla Zone of the Jal Shakti Department in Kasauli, Dr. Jain said the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of drinking water and irrigation schemes reach eligible beneficiaries without delay.

    He said digitisation has transformed government functioning by improving planning, project execution and administrative efficiency. The department has already integrated all Executive Engineer offices with the e-office platform, enabling digital handling of administrative work, contract management and official communication.

    To further strengthen the system, Dr. Jain directed officials to digitise all Assistant Engineer offices within the next 15 days, saying the move would enhance accountability, transparency and faster decision-making.

    Emphasising public participation, he urged local communities to actively support drinking water and irrigation projects to ensure their timely completion. He said greater community involvement would help remove project bottlenecks and maximise the benefits of government schemes.

    Highlighting the growing pressure on water resources, Dr. Jain called for a long-term water management strategy. He instructed engineers to conserve traditional water sources such as baolis, ponds, wells and lakes, conduct regular inspections and submit reports through email for prompt action.

    The Principal Secretary also directed Jal Shakti officials to attend Gram Panchayat meetings regularly and ensure that consumer complaints are resolved within 10 days.

    During the workshop, Dr. Jain distributed certificates to participants and honoured field staff for their outstanding contribution to the department.

    Chief Engineer of the Central Jal Shakti Commission, Chandigarh, A.K. Gupta, and Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Shimla Region, Mukesh Hira, addressed the participants on key departmental initiatives.

    Technical sessions were conducted by senior officers, including Superintending Engineer Rajiv Mahajan on project financing and infrastructure development, Sanjeev Soni on administrative restructuring and workflow modernisation, Vijay Kashyap on environmental protection and forest land administration, Hoshiyar Singh on contract management and project implementation, Rajinder Singh on digital transformation of office functioning, and Sumit Sood on the Ready-HP project.

    विश्व मानचित्र पर अंकित पर्यटन नगरी कसौली स्विट्जरलैंड की तर्ज पर कब संवरेगा। इसकी स्थिति कब सुधरेगी कोई नहीं जानता। केंटोनमेंट के तहत इस कसौली कस्बे की हालात इतनी दयनीय है की स्थानीय लोग तो परेशान है साथी ही बाहर से आने वाले पर्यटकों को भी मुश्किलें उठानी पड़ती है। नेशनल हाइवे से करीब 15 किलोमीटर दूर इस पर्यटन स्थल तक पहुंचने के लिए जिस सड़क मार्ग का इस्तेमाल करना पड़ता है उसकी स्थिति बेहद खराब है। सड़क कब ठीक रही शायद यहां रहने वाले लोगों को भी याद करने के लिए बादाम खाने पड़ेंगे। आलम यह है की सड़क संकरी है। हर पांच से दस फीट की दूरी पर सड़क टूटी हुई मसलन उबड़ खाबड़ है। रोजाना वाहन चालक परेशान होते है। छिटपुट सड़क की घटनाएं होना आम है। कसौली पर्यटन स्थल होने की वजह से यहां पर्यटकों की आमद ज्यादा रहती है। अधिकतर पर्यटक यहां पहुंचने के लिए टूरिस्ट बसों का इस्तेमाल करते है। लेकिन सड़क की खराब हालत बस चालको सहित सवारियों की जान को जोखिम में डाल देती है। उस पर गढ़खल में लगने वाला जाम तो रही सही कसर पूरी कर देता है। बता दें की कसौली अपने अपार सौंदर्य के लिए मशहूर है। पहाड़ी इलाका और यहां से चंडीगढ़ और बीबीएन के मैदानी इलाकों का दृश्य अति मनमोहक नजर आता है। उस पर यहां की खूबसूरती को चार चांद लगाती है होटल इंडस्ट्री। कसौली क्षेत्र होटल इंडस्ट्री हब है। यहां 250 से ज्यादा होटल है, जिसमें देश के कई बड़े होटलों की चेन है। हैरत इन होटलों तक पहुंचने के लिए पर्यटकों को खासी माथापच्ची करनी पड़ती है। होटल व्यवसायी इस समस्या से सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित है। व्यवसायियों का कहना है की पर्यटक बुकिंग कर यहां आते है, लेकिन सड़कों की हालत से परेशान खरी खोटी सुनाते है। कसौली होटल इंडस्ट्री सरकार को सबसे अधिक रेवेन्यू देने वालों में से एक है। बावजूद उनकी अनदेखी होती है। उन्होंने सरकार से गुहार लगाई है की पर्यटन की दृष्टि से कसौली क्षेत्र और अधिक विकसित हो इसके लिए सरकार को उचित कदम उठाने चाहिए। अन्यथा जितने होटल यहां खुल रहे है उनमें रोजगार मिलना तो दूर संचालकों को बैंक की किश्तें निकालना भी मुश्किल हो जाएगी।

    लिटफेस्ट में भीड़, लेकिन सड़क से परेशान

    कसौली में इन दिनों खुशवंत सिंह लिटफेस्ट चल रहा है। देश विदेश से मशहूर हस्तियां यहां पहुंची है।लेकिन सभी सड़कों की हालत पर अफसोस जता रहे है। कुछ राष्ट्रीय स्तर के पत्रकारों ने कसौली की सड़कों का मामला संपादकीय में उठाने की बात भी की है। बहरहाल, सड़कों की हालत किसी से छुपी नहीं है। अब इनकी सेहत ठीक करने के लिए नेता, अभिनेता, साहित्यकार, पत्रकार या लेखक कौन आगे आता है ये देखने वाली बात होगी।

    कसौली में व्यापार व पर्यटन की अपार संभावनाएं है। सड़कों की हालत बेहद खराब है। लंबे समय से इनको दुरुस्त करने की मांग कर रहे है। होटल व्यवसाय प्रभावित होता है। प्रदेश की छवि बाहरी राज्य में सही नहीं जाती। अब हमारी कांग्रेस की सरकार सत्ता में आई है। होटल इंडस्ट्री व आम जनता की मांग को सरकार के समक्ष रखा है। उम्मीद है सरकार कसौली के लिए जल्द कुछ अच्छा करेगी।

    कसौली में स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण की पांच दिवसीय कार्यशाला का आयोजन

    सोलन : स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण विकास विभाग हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार व वाटर, सैनिटेशन एवम हाइजीन इंस्टीट्यूट (WASHI) के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में शिवालिक होटल कसौली में 12 से 16 सितंबर 2023 (पांच दिन) की कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया है।

     

    मंगलवार को इस कार्यशाला का शुभारंभ निदेशक ग्रामीण विकास विभाग हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार रुग्वेद मिलिंद ठाकुर (IAS) द्वारा दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया। इस कार्यशाला में प्रदेशभर से स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण से जुड़े लगभग 26 प्रतिभागी भाग ले रहे हैं।

     

    गौरतलब है कि हिमाचल प्रदेश ने 2016 में ओडीऍफ़ राज्य का दर्जा प्राप्त कर लिया था व पूरे देशभर में हिमाचल प्रदेश दूसरे स्थान पर रहे। वर्तमान में स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण अभियान के अंतर्गत हिमाचल प्रदेश पूर्ण ओडीऍफ़ प्लस का दर्जा प्राप्त कर चुका है।

     

    कसौली में चल रही इस कार्यशाला में ओडीऍफ़ प्लस गांव बनाने के लिए आवश्यक सभी मापदण्डों पर प्रतिभागियों को प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा। इसमें मुख्यतः गंदला जल प्रबंधन, मलीय कचरा प्रबंधन, बाह्य शौचमुक्त, गोबर्धन आदि विभिन्न विषयों पर प्रशिक्षण दिया जाएगा।

     

    इस कार्यशाला के अंतर्गत स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण के जिला व खण्ड समनयवकों, प्रधान, पंच, स्वच्छाग्रही , स्वयं सहायता समूह के कार्यकर्ता आदि इस प्रशिक्षण कार्यशाला में भाग ले रहे हैं।

     

    कार्यशाला के शुरुआती सत्र को सम्बोधित करते हुए ग्रामीण विकास विभाग हिमाचल प्रदेश के निदेशक ने कहा कि विभाग के अंतर्गत स्वच्छ भारत मिशन ग्रामीण का मुख्य उद्देश्य राज्य को स्वच्छ बनाना है व साथ ही ठोस कचरा प्रबंधन को मजबूत करना है। इस दौरान उन्होंने वाटर, सैनिटेशन व हाइजीन इंस्टीट्यूट (WASHI) द्वारा राज्य को मिल रहे सहयोग की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि तरल कचरा प्रबंधन व मलीय अपशिष्ट प्रबन्धन के लिए के लिए इस संस्था द्वारा बनाई गई ऐप के माध्यम से विभाग को हर क्षेत्र में आवश्यकतानुसार कार्य करने में आसानी होगी। निदेशक ग्रामीण विकास विभाग ने इस कार्यशाला में पहुंचे प्रतिभागियों व पंचायत प्रतिनिधियों को भी राज्य को ओडीऍफ़ प्लस बनाने में सहयोग के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया।

     

    16 सितम्बर तक चलने वाली इस कार्यशाला में ग्रामीण विकास विभाग के क्षेत्रीय समन्वयक के अलावा वाश इंस्टीट्यूट के स्रोत व्यक्ति विशेष तौर पर उपस्थित रहकर प्रतिभागियों को प्रशिक्षण देंगे।

    12 वीं कक्षा के वाणिज्य छात्र और सेंट मैरी कॉन्वेंट स्कूल, कसौली के हेड बॉय तुषार आनंद को विश्व बाल श्रम विरोधी दिवस के अवसर पर हिमाचल प्रदेश विधान सभा के सदस्य के रूप में चुना गया है। 12 जून को।

    आनंद को हिमाचल प्रदेश शिक्षा विभाग द्वारा आयोजित और एलआईसी द्वारा प्रायोजित डिजिटल बाल मेले में जमा की गई हजारों प्रविष्टियों में से चुना गया था।

    मंगलवार को जिला के कसौली विधानसभा क्षेत्र में ग्राम पंचायत गुलहाड़ी में एक पुराने भवन में आग लगने की घटना सामने आई है। भवन करीब 100 साल पुराना बताया जा रहा है। आग इतनी भंयकर थी कि पूरा भवन जलकर राख हो गया। घटना की सूचना स्थानीय लोगों ने पुलिस को दी और अग्निशमन विभाग को सूचित किया गया, हालांकि स्थानीय लोगो ने आग बुझाने का प्रवास किया, आग ज्यादा लगी होने के कारण भवन जलकर राख हो गया।

     

    वहीं अग्निशमन विभाग सोलन के फायर ऑफिसर कमलजीत सिंह ने बताया कि उन्हें करीब 11:30 बजे फ़ोन के माध्यम से आग लगने का पता चला,उन्होंने बताया कि धर्मपुर के साथ लगती ग्राम पंचायत गुल्हाड़ी में पुराने भवन में आग लगी है। सूचना मिलते ही मौक़े पर टीम को भेज दिया गया था। आग से घर में रखी पूरी लकड़ी जलकर राख हो गई है, जिसमें करीब 75 हजार रुपए का नुकसान हो गया है।

     

    बता दें कि जिला के पर्यटन नगरी कसौली के गुलहाड़ी में एक पुरानी बिल्डिंग में मंगलवार को आग लग गई,आग इतनी भंयकर थी कि आसमान में धुएं का गुबार फैल गया। स्थानीय लोगों ने आग बुझाने का प्रयास किया लेकिन आग पर काबू नही पाया जा सका। आग लगने की सूचना बिल्डिंग के मालिक को भी दी गई। जानकारी मिली है कि भवन काफी समय से बंद पड़ा हुआ था।

    पर्यटन नगरी कसौली में पर्यटकों की आवाजाही बड़ी संख्या में शुरू हो चुकी है, जिसके चलते वेस्ट वॉरियर्स के सदस्यों ने कसौली स्वच्छ अभियान की शुरूआत गढख़ल के रामलीला ग्राउंड से की। इसके तहत वेस्ट वॉरियर्स के प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर साई यशवंत और प्रोजेक्ट को-ऑर्डिनेटर सुनील कटवाल के साथ अन्य सदस्यों व ग्रामीणों ने भी वेस्ट वॉरियर्स के स्वच्छ अभियान में हाथ बटाया। इस दौरान गढख़ल रामलीला ग्राउंड की सफाई की गई। साथ ही गढख़ल-किम्मुघाट के साथ व अन्य जगहों पर भी सफाई की गई। साई यशवंत ने बताया कि वेस्ट वॉरियर्स के सभी सदस्य 10 पंचायतों में स्वच्छता अभियान का अवेयरनैस कैंप भी चलाएंगे, जिसमें लोगो को स्वच्छता के बारे में जागरूक किया जाएगा।

    Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while virtually addressing the members of State Pharmacy Council from Kasauli in Solan district on the occasion of Pharmacist Day said that the Pharmacists played a crucial role during the corona pandemic and after the doctor, it is the pharmacist on whom the patients have maximum faith.

    Jai Ram Thakur said that Pharmacists have to serve the people keeping all these things in mind so that the medicine does not have any wrong effect on the health of any person in any way. He said that the job of a pharmacist was not only to give medicines to the patients, but also to educate and counsel them for their speedy recovery. He said that Union Government has sanctioned a Bulk Drug Park for Himachal Pradesh which would prove a boon to the economy of the State. He said that with the setting up of a bulk drug park, India’s dependence on China for raw materials would become negligible and the monopoly of China would almost end. Thousands of crores of rupees would be saved as the pharma companies in Himachal would get raw material in the State itself and the manufacturing of medicines would also become cheaper, thereby reduce the cost of medicines, he added.

    Chief Minister said that while virtually addressing the Yuva Vijay Sankalp rally organized at Mandi on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had admired the potential of Himachal in pharmacy sector and said that Himachal’s identity as a world pharmacy would be strengthened with this Bulk Drug Park.

    Chief Minister said that Baddi area of the State had emerged as the biggest pharma hub of Asia and the medicines manufactured at Baddi area during the pendemic was supplied throughout the world. He said, a Medical Device Park was being set up at Nalagarh at a cost of Rs 349 crore has also been approved and MoUs worth crores of rupees have also been signed. He said that this would provide employment to about 10,000 people.

    Chief Minister also launched the portal of Pharmacy Council on the occasion.

    Health Minister Dr Rajiv Saizal said that 25th September was celebrated as World Pharmacist Day across the world to honour and respect the pharmacists. He said that World Pharmacist Day was started in 2009 by the International Pharmaceutical Federation in Istanbul to encourage the role of pharmacists in improving health in every corner of the world.

    President Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council Gopal Kishan Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister, Health Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.

    Special Secretary Rajeshwar Goyal, representatives of Pharmacy Council of Himachal Sanjeev Pandit, Kamlesh Nayak were also present on the occasion among others.
