“During the Shrikhand Yatra in Himachal Pradesh, 33-year-old Chandigarh devotee Abhay passed away sadly. It has been determined that the deceased lived in Sector 15-D Chandigarh. Along with his cousin, he had embarked on the yatra on July 11. The corpse will undergo a post-mortem at Nirmand Hospital.
The deceased’s brother has questioned the arrangements the administration made for the yatra. He said that in order to remove the body, a laborer requested sixty-five thousand rupees. His phone and other possessions were taken away when he was unable to make the payment. According to SDM Nirmand Manmohan, such a complaint has undoubtedly been received. We’ll look into it.
Based on the information provided, Abhay and his cousin had traveled to Shrikhand on Tuesday for the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra and were on their way back. Abhay’s condition worsened close to Parvati Bagh. From there, the rescue crew Gaya took him to Bhim-Dwari.The rescue crew was transporting Abhay from Bhim-Dwari to Jao via base camp Singhagad and then to Nirmand Civil Hospital for initial care, however Abhay passed away in between Singhagad and Jao. The corpse is still in Jao since the route is blocked. The body will eventually be taken to Nirmand for a post-mortem examination.
The Shrikhand Yatra officially began on July 10. This year’s voyage has seen its first fatality. Due to hazardous roads, low oxygen levels, and bitter weather, many passengers perish on this arduous trek each year.
