The faculty of Liberal Arts of Shoolini University attempted to create a fun learning environment and a programme with a difference was organised by the students of Functional English.
The main objective of the programme was to make language learning an interesting enterprise that would benefit the students in the long run.
The promising event commenced with the arrival of the chief guests, the Chancellor Professor PK Khosla of Shoolini University and Professor Vipin Pubby, former Resident Editor of Indian Express who mentors the Journalism and Mass Communication department of the University.
Students from various courses presented their talents and expressed themselves through poetry, exalted speeches, play performance, and songs, all in the English language. Poems may be the soul of English literature, but the event had a lot more to offer other than verse. The oratory and acting prowess of the students charmed the audience. It was evident that they had been rehearsing for the event under the able guidance of their teachers, Rajesh Williams, Hemant Sharma, and Samrat Sharma.
The faculty members greatly appreciated the efforts of the students and the HoD, Manju Jaidka, had a word of praise for the event; giving it a happy ending, she guided the students and inspired them to do better in the coming times.
