A spokesperson of the Election Department today here said that according to the electoral roll updated till last date of nominations a total of 255417 general voters and 3923 service electors will exercise their franchise in the bye-elections to be held in the three assembly constituencies (AC) viz, Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh on 10th July. He said that Nalagarh AC has the highest number of general voters at 93831, followed by Dehra 84694 while in Hamirpur AC there are 76892 voters.
He said that Dehra has the highest number of service electors at 1826, Hamirpur has 1173 while Nalagarh has 924.
The spokesperson said that in all the three ACs there are 6523 voters in the age group of 18 to 19 years, 3334 voters in the age group of 85 plus category, 72 centenarian and 2390 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) voters.
He said that for upcoming bye-elections of all three ACs 1576 voters above 85 years of age and 423 PwD voters have opted for home voting through form 12D.
He informed that out of 315 polling stations for the bye-elections to be held in the three ACs, 121 polling stations would be set up in Nalagarh, 100 in Dehra and 94 in Hamirpur.
