Various programs were organized on Friday under the name of Ek Ped Mere Vidyalaya and Meri Mati Mera Desh National Campaign at Government Senior Secondary School Pahali of Shimla.. On this occasion, under the leadership of Assistant NCC First Officer Amarjeet Kaur, NCC cadets, students and teachers planted different types of fruit trees in Phagali school premises and also adopted one sapling each. Along with this, NCC cadets and students also took the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh Panchpran’ pledge. NCC cadets and students gave the message of environmental protection by planting saplings through slogan writing, painting and shared their thoughts about the importance of their motherland and mother tongue. Principal of Phagali School Amita Gupta congratulated all NCC cadets, students and teachers, NCC First Officer Amarjit Kaur, teachers and students for successfully organizing Ek Ped Mere Vidyalaya Ke Naam and Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign. Principal Amita Gupta and NCC First Officer Amarjit Kaur said that through the eco-club formed in the school, there is an effort to motivate students and NCC cadets for environmental protection so that students can take part in environmental protection, plantation and development of their country and develop the qualities of giving the best. During the programme, NCC cadets, students and teachers bowed down to the martyrs who protected the country and presented their views. First Officer Amarjeet Kaur added that it is necessary for children to know about patriotism, national integration and patriots. On this occasion, teachers of Phagali school and other staff members cooperated for the successful organization of this program.
