ABVP Kullu demanded immediate withdrawal from the government
Kullu
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad unit Kullu today organized a district-level protest against the new recruitment policy of the state government called “Job Trainee.” This protest concluded in front of the principal’s office at Government College Kullu at 12:30 pm, the council called this policy a betrayal of the youth and said that concepts like “job trainee” are against the merit and respect of educated youth. This policy is not only far from the guarantee of employment, but it also fails on every parameter of future stability and security.
The activists alleged that on one hand the government promises to provide employment to the youth, and on the other hand they are being misled with low wages and contract-based and temporary appointments.
The council mainly put forward the following demands:
The “Job Trainee” policy should be canceled with immediate effect.
A regular and permanent recruitment process should be initiated for all vacant posts.
Employment policies should be made transparent, clear, and worthy of future building.
The council also clarified that if the government does not take a concrete decision on this issue soon, then the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad will be forced to make the movement more widespread and aggressive across the state.
