The CSK HP Agriculture University has decided to reserve one seat in each undergraduate programme for single girl child. Prof Ashok Kumar, Vice Chancellor, said the university had approved reservation of one seat each in all undergraduate programmes of the four constituent colleges. However, this seat will be reserved for a single girl child belonging to Himachal Pradesh within the intake capacity under, over and above category seats from the academic session beginning this year.
The Vice Chancellor said the university was running six undergraduate programmes in its four constituent colleges and the decision would go a long way in propagating quality professional education among small families having single girl child.
