Shimla, September 19, 2025: Auckland House School, Shimla, organised its Junior Section Annual Day with great enthusiasm and participation from the students. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Oshin Sharma, HPAS, SDM Shimla Urban, who appreciated the confidence and creativity displayed by the young children.
The programme began with an Opening Hymn – “Here I Am to Worship” presented by Form I students, setting a serene tone. This was followed by a lively Musical Play “The Toy Shop” by Form II students, which captured the imagination of the audience.
Students from Nursery, LKG, UKG, and Forms I & II presented a vibrant mix of dances, action songs, and skits, showcasing their talents across different cultures and themes.
Performances such as “Aya Wo Lalariya,” “I’m So Happy,” “Believer,” “Punjabi Dance,” “Chun Chun Karti Aayi Chidiya,” “My Bestie,” and “Gujarati Dance” kept the audience engaged with their energy and charm.
Equally captivating were the action songs like “Kookaburra” and thematic dances such as “Golden Melodies” and “Rajasthani Dance”, which highlighted India’s cultural diversity and the students’ artistic expressions.
On the occasion, the Annual Report was presented by the School Principal, Mrs. Smaraki Samantaroy, highlighting the achievements and milestones of the Junior Section.
The programme concluded with the National Anthem, instilling pride and unity among all present. Parents, teachers, and guests lauded the efforts of the students and staff for putting together a delightful and meaningful cultural showcase.
