Assistant Engineer, Electric Sub-Division, Junga, E. Yashwant Singh, appealed to all domestic and hotel consumers under the Electric Sub-Division Junga, stating that the electricity department has initiated the process of linking the electricity meter account number (Consumer ID) with their Aadhaar card (EKYC).
All consumers must ensure to complete EKYC by December 20, 2024; otherwise, they will be deprived of government-provided benefits such as subsidies in their electricity bills starting in January. Consumers will need to bring essential documents for EKYC, such as an Aadhaar card/ration card, any new/old electricity bill, and their mobile phone, which should be linked to the Aadhaar card. If, for any reason, your EKYC has not been completed at your home yet, consumers can come to the consumer office to complete their EKYC.
In addition, it is also requested that consumers who have not paid their electricity bills should do so as soon as possible; otherwise, their electricity connection will be temporarily disconnected.
