Due to heavy rains in Kullu district for the last two days, flood and landslide situation persists. This has caused damage to roads, washing away of bridges and disruption of life.
On the basis of the reports and recommendations received, keeping in mind the safety of the students in sub-divisions Banjar and Manali, all government and private educational institutions, Anganwadi centers, colleges, ITI, polytechnics etc. will remain closed on August 28, 2025.
Apart from this, four schools of sub-division Kullu –
1. Government Senior Secondary School Shalang
2. Government Senior Secondary School Rai Sun
3. Government Senior Secondary School Katrai
4. Government Primary School Narogi
will also remain closed on August 28, 2025.
This order has been issued by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kullu Chairperson and Deputy Commissioner Toral S. Ravish, IAS has issued it under sections 30 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act 2005.
