With three positive cases reported on Sunday, the total count in the district has increased to 47,068. The new cases include two influenza-like illness cases and one contact of a positive patient.
The district Health Department has also reported recovery of five cases, with which the total recovery count has increased to 45,452. The district at present has a total of 31 active cases.
In the ongoing vaccination drive, 8,677 residents were inoculated on Sunday. Of these 5,372 received the first dose of the vaccine while 3,305 received the second one.
No new Covid case and death have been reported in the district on Sunday. The tally stands at 373 for the past more than a week. Deputy Commissioner said the teams of the Health Department collected 628 samples for testing and the report of 340 samples is awaited. The number of active Covid cases stands at six and out of these, five have been isolated at their homes.
