Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur on Thursday offered prayers with his wife at Maa Baglamukhi temple in Bankhandi and Maa Jwala Ji temple on the occasion of Navratri, seeking peace and prosperity for all.
Extending greetings on the Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri, Thakur said the festival symbolises India’s rich cultural heritage, spiritual consciousness, and scientific traditions. He described the occasion as a reflection of unity in diversity, strength through devotion, and a collective resolve for national welfare.
“Nav Samvatsar Vikram Samvat 2083 and Chaitra Navratri mark a time of आत्म-जागरण (self-awakening). May the blessings of Maa Durga bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to every household,” he said.
He also called upon people to pledge towards building a strong, cultured, and prosperous India with the blessings of the divine feminine power.
