AP Goyal shimla university organised Cultural session virtually which was called “prarabadh” 2020. Prarabdh – the portion of past karma which is responsible for present body.
Prof (Dr.) Pritam Babu Sharma VC.Amity University Grugram were present as the chief guest of this session. He is the former VC of Delhi technical university and also Bhopal University. He is known to be institutional builder and also worked in IIT Delhi. He has 230 Reserch publications and He connected virtually with us.
Main speakers were prof (Dr.) Ramesh Choudhary VC Apg Shimla university and Dr. Ramesh Chauhan ( Dean Journalism) and Dr.R.k Kaistha Registrar and Prof. Rakesh sharma visiting faculty( IAS) and Dr. Anad Mohan ( Dean engineering) were also present. The inaugural session started with lighting of lamp.
Dr.Ramesh Choudhary welcomed today’s guest Dr. Pritam Babu Sharma with auspicious mantra “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu, Gurur Devo Maheshwara; Guru Sakshat Para Brahma, Tasmai Sri Guravay Namha”He said students have connected with us globally, we have students from 28 different countries and 28 states in India.Through this online cultural fest, students are going to demonstrate many activities, virtually. He also said this is the best way to engage students in extra curricular activities during the present difficult covid time. This type of activities make students psychologically strong during this pandemic.
This inaugural session had started with lighting of lamp by the chief guest P.B Sharma along with Dr. Ramesh Chaudhary VC APG Shimla .Now Dr. Choudhary requested today’s chief guest Dr. P.B sharma to enlighten the students with his valuable words.
Dr.P.B sharma said he felt very glad to be part of such a multifaceted wonderful session. He said covid-19 also taught us how to connect with each other through modern technology. He said Living in harmony with nature improves our thinking ability. He mainly focused on the cultural, traditional value and harmony with nature.Children also benefit from being in the presence of green spaces and prarabadh is the best title given to this cultural fest. Covid crises had been around the world but due to online teaching and learning, new world had been created. He said there are 666 million youngsters looking for universities. He said best part of my life is which I had spent learning in school and in my college.
Said Students you should explore yourself, develop yourself and be truthful and also advised the purity of mind is very important. He ended his speech with Satyameva Jayate and said this word from Mundaka Upanishad, meaning ‘Truth Alone Triumphs and God bless us all.
Dean journalism Dr. Ramesh Chauhan said we have organised so many fests before ( media fest, Engineering fest and food fest by hotel management) and we had about 64 webinar during this covid time. And finally, he thanked Dr.P.B sharma to connect with us. Dr. Chauhan said three Ws are very important in students life Work, Worship and Wisdom. One must work with the spirit of duty devotion and discipline.
