228 people inoculated during the vaccination drive
Shimla, September 24
As a part of world’s largest free vaccination campaign initiated by government of India nation-wide to prevent the spread of COVID-19, a special vaccination drive was organized at local APG Shimla University here on Friday under the condescension of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Vikasnagar of Shimla and APG Shimla University.
During this vaccination drive, 228 teaching, non-teaching employees, students, local people of Beolia Gram Panchayat of Shimla, migrant laborers and foreign students studying in APG varsity took the first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Most of youths took their first COVID-19 vaccine doze during the vaccination drive and some inoculated COVID vaccine as their second dose. This drive concluded successfully. The APG varsity conducted this COVID vaccination drive for the second time in its campus. The vaccination drive started from morning 10:30 a.m. to evening 4:30 p.m. in which more than two hundred people inoculated COVID and leveraged from it. Dr. Nidhi, the medical officer from Primary Health Centre Vikasnagar of Shimla and a team of five doctors prospered this COVID-19 vaccination drive. Dr. Nidhi said that during the vaccination drive, no problem nagged at all through vaccination drive.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ramesh Chauhan of APG Shimla University expressed their gratitude towards Balram Jha, the registrar of APG Shimla University, administrative officer Michael Fendall, deans, chairpersons of different department of varsity, teachers, executive officers, and doctors, nurses and Aasha workers of Primary Health Centre Vikasnagar of Shimla for extending their essential support to organize this vaccination drive. Both wished for people’s good health and urged the other people to invoke for COVID-19 vaccination so that the State of H.P. and whole country can be rid of the danger of corona pandemic immediately. They said that APG Shimla University is always ready for conduct such succor drives and support in future for the sake of the human community and better public conveniences.
