An incident has come to light in Mandi district, where a vehicle laden with apples has fallen into the Beas River about 100 meters below the road near Pandoh Dam. So far no trace of the vehicle or any person in it has been found. According to preliminary information, this accident happened in the early hours of Wednesday.
It is being said that this vehicle laden with apples was passing near Pandoh Dam when it went out of control and fell into a deep gorge and directly into the Beas river. Due to the fast flow of the river, the vehicle was immediately swept away in the water. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the local administration and rescue teams reached the spot.
A massive operation is being carried out to search for the vehicle and the people in it in the Beas river. However, the fast flow and depth of the river are hampering rescue operations. The police have registered a case and started an investigation. It is not yet clear how many people were in the vehicle and where they are from.
