An Army recruitment rally will be held at Prithi Military Station, Averipatti, under the Rampur subdivision of Shimla district, from November 20 to 27, 2025. A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap to prepare for the proposed recruitment rally.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the Army officers of providing all possible assistance for the recruitment rally. He stated that all facilities would be ensured at the recruitment site so that the youth coming for recruitment do not face any inconvenience. He directed the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Rampur, to convene a meeting at the sub-divisional level to ensure that no one misleads the youth during the recruitment process. The entire recruitment process is video recorded to maintain transparency. He also directed the Army to ensure uninterrupted electricity and water supply in Aveeripatti during the recruitment rally. He also directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that accommodation is available at reasonable prices for the youth coming for recruitment.
The Army officials also requested for availability of representatives of Education and Sports Department to verify the education and sports related certificates of the youth during the recruitment, adequate police force at the recruitment site to maintain law and order and traffic management, medical team from the hospital management, fire team, cleanliness, water tankers, mobile toilets, availability of additional buses and marking the stopping places for buses near the recruitment site.
The meeting was attended by Director Army Recruitment Office Shimla Colonel Manish Singh, Subedar Major G.S. Yadav and other officers and employees from the district administration.
