Kullu
Art of Living Kullu Chapter organised a special tree plantation programme in Khokhan forest area. Under this environmental campaign, teachers and volunteers together planted 180 saplings. This event was not only an inspirational effort towards environmental conservation, but also a devotional pledge towards protecting the Himalayas. The programme started with a collective tree pledge, followed by tree plantation, satsang, cultural dance, and group meal. At the end of the programme, medicinal plants like Giloy and Aloe Vera were given to all the participants to take home, so that the message of greenery and health reaches every home. Everyone expressed their gratitude towards the trees by writing emotional words on “Thank You Tree” message boards and put them up. The event was led by District Coordinator Sonali Kapoor. Along with them, the dedicated team of ETC, DDC, teachers and Art of Living sadhaks and volunteers, and Block Officer of Forest Department, BDO Ranjana and her team made it successful and virtuous. Trees are the basis of our life. To maintain the beauty of the Himalayas and the purity of the environment, it is the responsibility of all of us that at least one tree must be planted in every house.
