Debate competition titled “Artificial Intelligence – Boon or Curse” Organized by the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education (CoE-AIE) of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, H.P.
On March 21, 2024, the Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence for Education (CoE-AIE) of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT) hosted an insightful debate competition titled “Artificial Intelligence – Boon or Curse”. The event was coordinated by Dr. Hari Sing Rawat (Assistant Professor (SG), CSE & IT Department & Coordinator CoE-AIE), Dr. Shruti Jain (Professor, ECE & Associate Dean, Innovations), Dr. Tiratha Raj Singh (Professor, BT/BI Department), Dr. Vipul Sharma (Assistant Professor (SG), CSE & IT Department) and the event student coordinators from M.Tech (Data Science) – Ms. Rohini Singh and Ms. Kanik Simer.
The event attracted participants from all the undergraduate and post-graduate programs. The competition was fierce, with students showcasing their expertise and perspectives on the topic. After rigorous deliberation, Parth Gupta, Avnie Agarwal, and Ramandeep Singh Makkar emerged victorious, claiming the top three positions respectively.
The performances of the participants were recognized by awarding participation certificates and cash prizes to the top three positions. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, who felicitated the winners and distributed the awards and encouraged the organizers and the participants.
