Theatrical group propagated the welfare policies of the government.
Today, under the state-wide publicity campaign being run by the Himachal Government with the aim of spreading information about the schemes related to Scheduled Caste welfare to the people, theatre groups of the Information and Public Relations Department gave cultural performances in various Gram Panchayats in Shimla district.
In the same sequence, today the artists of Swar Sadhna Kala Manch in Village Jai Peedhi Mata, Village Purana Jubbal and Village Madhol-3 of Village Madhol of Development Block Jubbal and the artists of The Beginners Group in Village Kolu Jubbad, Village Dhagogi and Village Baldeyan of Development Block Mashobra informed the people about the government welfare schemes and the process of availing their benefits through songs, music and street plays.
On this occasion, the artists informed that under the Disabled Scholarship Scheme, such disabled students, who are pursuing studies, technical education or degree from any government institution and whose disability percentage has been assessed as 40 percent or more by the District Disability Board, are provided scholarship ranging from Rs. 625 to Rs. 3750 from class 1st to PhD and Rs. 1875 to Rs. 5000 to the students living in hostels. Apart from this, under this scheme, there is a provision to give scholarship again to the failed students also. In the scholarship scheme, relaxation has been provided in the income limit of the parents.
