Faculty of Biotechnology and Applied Sciences, Shoolini University hosted the inauguration ceremony of The Astrobiology Club on Monday under the aegis of Spacenova’s Shoolini Chapter. Spacenova is a space research and educational organisation.
Mr. Shivam Kumar Singh, Founder and CEO of Supernova, discussed the company’s vision and mission, as well as their goal of providing the necessary knowledge and tools to pursue a career in astrobiology.
The two guest speakers for the inaugural event were Dr. K.G. Sreejalakshmi, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, and Ms. An Li, PhD candidate from University of Washington, USA.
The Astrobiology Club aspires to be a one-stop solution for students seeking to understand life from a cosmic standpoint. The club is open to all students, regardless of their prior knowledge of astrobiology. Supernova will provide students with mentorship and research guidance, as well as access to the Spacenova Astrobiology Training Programme. The club’s main goal is to inspire and encourage students to learn more about the exciting new field of astrobiology.
The event was hosted by Mr. Mihir Sharma along with the President of the club Ms. Rithika Chunduri and Vice President Mr. Aritra Ray.
