Two promising students from Auckland House School Boys, Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta, have qualified for the State-Level Chess Championship after their stellar performance at the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025, held at Nangal Devi, Theog under the aegis of the District Shimla Chess Association.
Jayesh bagged the Gold Medal in the Under-13 category, while Samarth secured the Silver Medal in the Under-17 category, competing against nearly 100 participants from across the district. Their qualification for the state-level competition reflects their sharp intellect and consistent hard work.
The school has extended its best wishes to both players for continued success at the state level.

Shimla, 14th July 2025: Two bright students Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta of Auckland House School Boys, Shimla excelled in the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025 held at Nangal Devi, Theog and secured berths for the State Level Competition.
The competition was organized by District Shimla Chess Association in which around 100 participants took part. Jayesh Thakur won the gold medal in the under-13 category while Samarth Gupta won the silver medal in the under-17 category.
The school management has congratulated him on this achievement and wished him good luck for the upcoming state level competition.
